I'm very interested in the other characters to and want to know more about all of them <3 so my question is can i have (more) background infos on the other guardsmen and also the mercanarys pls? (๑✧◡✧๑)♪
including the questions what Hobbys and likes/dislikes and prefered food/drink they have?
Well I fully intend on putting their likes/dislikes/hobbies and general background info when I put out designs, but if you are curious about any characters specifically, I can tell ya! I just don't wanna fill up a single ask with a bunch of paragraphs of info on so many different people all at once.
If you're wanting backgrounds + all the extras, maybe only two at a time? I'll do the UT!Bros for this ask, okie dokie? 💖
Classic
Classic is a lazybones, much like his original self! He joined the Guardsmen because his brother insisted and dragged him along to training. No one is really sure how he passed training, since no one actually saw him doing any of the work. When asked about it, he said he did after-training tests. He never specified what they were.
He spends most of his time as a sentry, guarding the entrance to the castle. He used to be posted outside the Capitol, but after an attempted assassination which led to one of the Royal Guards being injured, he was moved to the Castle sentry station.
He's friends with Blue, Stretch, Red, Edge, Lust and Ardor. He's met Cross, but the two don't get along all too well. Classic doesn't know why Cross doesn't like him, but he doesn't really care either.
Likes
- Pillows. Lots of pillows.
- Sleeping
- Winter (Best time to stay indoors and sleep)
- Warm drinks (Cocoa, Tea, Coffee, etc.)
- Spicy food (His favorite snack is spicy chips)
Dislikes
- Summer (He can't handle heat very well)
- Sweets (He's just not a fan. He prefers savory foods and snacks)
- Being touched by strangers (He won't protest, but it's a quick way to get him to dislike you)
Hobbies
Does Sleeping count? Nah but he actually writes short stories in his free time! He likes writing Science Fiction, but he doesn't really show his work off. (People don't really understand half the stuff he writes anyway. Machines moving on their own, without magic? Crazy!)
Pyrus
Pyrus is the current Lieutenant of the Guardsmen. He's a hard worker who believes in the best in everyone. He'll happily drop whatever he's doing to help someone in need. He's a skilled Guardsman, and truthfully his only weakness is his trusting nature.
That's not to say he's gullible, but he just wants you to be as good as he believes you can be! Pyrus is very intelligent, and is looked up to almost as much as Blue in the Guardsmen. Pyrus is friends with Stretch, Blue and Ardor. Most of his work is in the Capitol. He helps to train the Guardsmen and handle paperwork, though he occasionally goes on patrols.
Yes, Pyrus can say fuck. He's a grown boi.
Likes
- Pasta dishes! Any kind will do, but he likes bow-tie pasta the most.
- Summer (The sun is shining and it is time to go out!)
- Exercise
- Helping Ardor with his flowers
- Pie! Pyrus loves pie.
Dislikes
- Rude people
- Sour flavors
- Coffee
- Rain (Training in the rain isn't advisable)
Hobbies
- Cooking. (Pyrus is a very good cook)
- Woodworking. (He likes to work with his hands, and Woodworking is a good stress reliever for him)
Thank you for answering my previous ask. It is now morning and I've read the rest of your post about kingdomverse? (I think I read.them al at least XD)
So another question. I saw in your list of charaters that the UT, US and UF brothers where all in the royal guard. How did that happen?
And why is Blue the captain instead of Papyrus or Edge. Who I think would do a good job as well?
Well I've already explained how Blue and Stretch came to be in the Royal Guard! Blue had wanted to join since he was young, and Stretch joined alongside him so he could support his brother!
The story for Classic and Pyrus is similar, Pyrus was planning on joining and he insisted Classic join as well. Classic doesn't like disappointing his brother, so he joined with the intentions of just being a sentry or regular patrol Guardsman. Pyrus initially wanted to be Captain, but after making friends with Blue and Stretch, he figured he'd be content with Blue being Captain too!
As for the UF brothers, Red and Edge actually aren't Guardsmen! Red and Edge are mercenaries! They've met Classic and Pyrus, and are acquaintances, but they don't work together. Red and Edge became mercenaries because it catered to their skills and paid well.
Pyrus would make a good Captain, you're right! I'm sure if Blue hadn't joined the Guardsmen, Pyrus would have taken the position. Pyrus is a bit too soft on others, and that's where Blue has the upper hand. Blue pushes everyone as hard as he pushes himself, and he rarely goes easy on anyone.
I'm really veeeery curious now, so i do hope u will tell me pls? I want to know what Kind of Trainings they have to do to get into the guardsmenship and HOW classic actually did gez into it? I'm curious to what Kind of "after training - test" he did and how good was his score?
Also i really really want to know why cross does dislikes classic? pls explain. 👀 i need answers!
Good questions, as usual~!
What kind of training do the Guardsmen do?
Each Guardsman goes through training in basic hand-to-hand combat. They'll learn how to defend themselves when they have no weapon.
They'll learn to ride horses, train with a basic weapon of choice (most Guardsmen pick their own specialization, though most often it's swordsmanship), along with basic physical training.
Most trainees will go through training for three years minimum before their accepted into the ranks. Some can choose to take their final test early (This is what Blue did). They need to prove their worth in three trials.
First is the Trial of Potential. The trainee must meet a set standard in order to join the Guardsmen. Strength, endurance, stamina, and intelligence, are all tested in this trial. They can only move on to the second trial if the Overseer (the person judging the trainee), deems them worthy to move on.
Second is the Trial of Survival, where the trainee is left to survive on their own for a week in the wilderness. If the trainee wants to give up midway, they're given a flare that can be set off at any time to use in order to call a team of trained Guardsmen to their aid. Moving on to the last trial only requires the trainee to survive the week, but an Overseer may choose to pull the trainee if they do not believe they will pass the last trial, even if the trainee succeeded.
Lastly is the Trial of Valiance. This trial is dependent on the Overseer's choice. The trainee will be pitted against an opponent chosen by the Overseer. The opponent is not always a Guardsman. Some have brought in a mercenary, a beast, and some have even chosen themselves as the opponent. For example, if an Overseer wanted, they could even ask one of the Kings to fill in as an opponent. All that matters is that who the Overseer chooses agrees to participate.
Contrary to what you might think, the trainee does not actually need to succeed in the final trial. All that matters is that the trainee faces the trial with bravery, tenacity, and confidence.
How did Classic get through it?
No one's sure how exactly Classic was able to get into the Guardsmen. The only thing that's certain is that he would have had to pass the three trials in order to be accepted. People assume he just trained on his own rather than with the other trainees, but honestly it seemed like he just jumped from being a civilian to being a Guardsman.
Why doesn't Cross like Classic?
Cross doesn't like how easily Classic was able to get into the Guardsmen. He doesn't like how little he knows about Classic, and how hard it is to actually read him. He doesn't trust him, and he can tell that Classic is more than just a lazy comedian.
He doesn't like that Classic pretends to be some weakling.
