“Yes, obviously.” Hux curled his lips. He was tense and it was clear he hated their marriage already. He lied though. Kylo wasn’t disgusting to him, he just hated the idea of being vulnerable with someone, especially when it was forced. It was just self preservation. 

“We’ll... get two sets of beds. Or perhaps rooms. Both get our own.”

Hux was dressed to the nines for the visit. He put on his official uniform, in white, and golden jewellery into his hair, which he was told complimented his complexion. He was usually not one for such frivolity, but the man he was visiting was known for it - elaborate costumes, makeup, hairstyles, all of it. He was also presumably a manizer. Many men were seen in his company. So if Hux could settle an alliance through bed, so be it. 

The First Order really could use such a relationship, and he was single anyway.

Sipping his drink, he came up to the man at a banquet to which Hux secured an invite. “What a lovely gathering,” he said with a sly smile. “And a lovelier host.

Dopheld would be lying if he said he was doing okay. His power had been out at his barely livable apartment and he was running late for his job at the shitty coffee shop. He was living on minimum wage in the city and he was barely scraping by if you could even call it that. He rounded the corner and slammed directly into someone. He cries out when the person’s hot coffee spills all over him. He looks down at his uniform which was now ruined and bursts into tears. There was no way he could afford another one.

"You're alive."

It wasn't a question, but a grunted, almost hateful comment. Hux still wasn't allowed to get up from his bloody cot he'd been forced to 'rest' in while his body was accepting his new, shiny, synthetic heart. The man looked pale and unhealthy, but he was, at least, alive.

And found himself awake on a hidden Resistance base when he first woke up. Mitaka saw to it. Hux didn't even dare to ask how many bribes and smuggling these people had to go through to get him a new heart and a surgery. And he wasn't about to thank it, either. Yet.

"I'd say I'm disappointed", he fiddled with the IV which bothered him and made him want to yank it out of his arm despite it pretty much kept him alive, "but I'll settle with, I'm rather, impressed. Why are you here?"

They never were on good terms, but Hux didn't give a damn at the moment. He was in a still fragile state, and Kylo could still kill him easily. But he stopped caring about things long ago.

“Oh--no, that’s--” Mitaka didn’t have a chance to protest before another drink was set down in front of him; it would have been impolite to refuse at this point, and quite frankly, he didn’t think it would be a good idea for his impromptu drinking partner to have both glasses. And so, he sipped at his own, slowly, trying to ignore the way that smirk made his heart race. “I’m both of yours, I suppose?” he offered, because technically that was true, they could both command him as they saw fit and he had to obey. Somehow, he wasn’t sure that was the same context that Ren was implying. “I’m...just not used to drinking with my superiors, that’s all.”

“I thought I could forget what it was like to hold you in my arms... but the memory would never leave.” He whispered, pulling him close, closer, until their bodies were pressed together and not a sliver of free space between them. Ben’s hair tickled his cheek, Ben’s scent enveloped him like a gentle caress.

“Maybe I didn’t want to loose it. Maybe it was the only thing I had left of you.”
