As much as I like Nanao having her moment to shine (sort of... I didn't appreciate Shunsui having to be there to support her...), I still hate the concept of Ancestral family Zanpakuto...
Because it just goes against what we were told about the nature of Zanpakuto until this point!
What? Am I supposed to believe Nanao went through all of these — and was already born— with a piece of her soul already chipped out? That she carried within her a Zanpakuto Spirit shaped hole?
Students at the Academy (Or High Nobles at home) receive an Asauchi into which their pour fragments of their souls, that will become the Zanpakuto Spirit, awakening their blades...
... And when they die, the Zanpakuto spirit dies with them... (I accept an interval of time for the spirit to completely dissipate... That's what I use in every single one of my AUs.)
That's it!
No family sword that keeps their shape, powers and — I guess — Zanpakuto spirit...
And also, there's no logical explanation to how Kyokotsu came to be. How the fuck does a Zanpakuto Spirit gives birth? Parthogenesis? Did Kyoraku fuck his Zanpakuto Spirit? How? Why?
And if the Zanpakuto has a name — Shinken Whatever....— does that mean that Kyokotsu is, or isn't Nanao's Zanpakuto Spirit?
Does that mean she'll be integrated into the blade? Will the blade change? Will Kyokotsu change? What the fuck is the whole deal?
Why does Kubo come up with stupid storylines that lack logic and have zero explanation?

A Inuyasha fanfiction for @inuvember event Inuvember day 12 Band of Seven.
The infamous Band of Seven find themselves surrounded by soldiers and their leader Bankotsu shout, "Attack!" The colossal brute Kyokotsu use his flail to strike down some soldiers, and then grab some of the remains to eat them to the horror of the other soldiers. The short Mukotsu use a mist of poison to poison some soliders and Mukotsu laugh as they slowly die while Ginkotsu fire some projectiles at the soliders to finish them off. Suikotsu whose have green marks on his face slash some soliders with his claws, while the fire master Renkotsu burn some soliders. Back to each other, Jakotsu and his leader Bankotsu cut down changing soliders and the crossdresser Jakotsu comment to his best friend, "This is a truly romantic scene, Bankotsu." which Bankotsu said to Jakotsu, "Stay focus and find a opening for us to escape." and Jakotsu ask, "Escape?" Soon, the Band of Seven tired out from the number of soldiers they killed and that allow the survivors to captured the seven men.

Jesus H Christ, I‘ve only seen this ask just now! So sorry! I have literally never heard of this ship before but I support ANY blog that has a creative and different approach to characters and ships! LGBTQ+ blogs in particular are the true glue of fandom while hetero-shippers are usually busy tearing each other apart lol.
Of course, I gotta know your 5 OTPs now and how DARE YOU leave me hanging like this!!
