i see their relationship as extremely one-sided & doomed despite everything - and there's not enough people in this fandom to argue with me about it <3 let's talk about it!

starting off strong here. i see this song as kyoya breaking psychologically. this is when the mask slips off and the violent anger issues present themselves. the lyrics tell the whole story.

so obviously we all know about the kyorou backstory episode, so this is kyoya talking to rouga.

I fell for your games I wish so bad right now I hadn't let you in

kyoya is pissed at rouga for one reason or another and regretting ever becoming friends with him. he is terrified that his plot to create a pawn has resulted in actually feeling something.

Won't you get the fuck out of my face... now?

so of course he lashes out. he pushes rouga away because nothing else makes sense. the old "get the fuck away from me before we kiss"

now kyoya is relating everything back to what he knows: hierarchy. he knows rouga is below him because that's how it is. (this line makes me so GGHRGRRRHHH this is so them please you have to believe me)

this is ABSOLUTELY rouga fighting back. rouga is realizing that kyoya is about to throw him out and he has nothing to show for all these years of loyalty. (i also hc that rouga does so so much for kyoya when they live together like giving him his medications, reminding him to eat, bringing him water, etc. so he really was made into a servant)

rouga is lying to himself in the first line. he loves kyoya's smug face. he loves that kyoya's eyes are only soft when they look at him. but right now (getting pushed away), he hates it. and he hates that kyoya is even able to get rid of him.

after this, all the lyrics repeat but during the breakdown, there's a part that i really like. the "won't you get the fuck out of my face now?" bit slows down into a holding-onto-sanity-by-a-thread quiet before finally snapping. that is so kyoya trying so hard to be composed and professional before losing it. and it makes him even more angry because if rouga had just left when he asked him to, everything would be fine (it wouldn't be).

kyoya (internally): why the hell is Rouga so easily bought over? stupid. all I did was give him a life of luxury. if he gets strong he'll realise that I'm replaceable. I have to make him emotionally reliant on me or I'll be in for trouble.

kyoya (externally): we'll be friends until the very end of time, Rouga.

rouga (internally): Kyoya's a millionaire. I got saved by a millionaire. And he's my friend!

rouga (externally): Kyoya, I'll always win.

kyoya taking for granted his riches. I want to bite him as someone working a 9-6 office job. especially since lunch break is over.

rouga trying to express gratitude and being so....bad at it. rouga is kind of like the y/n who got sold to one direction trope.

first of all, i love that the fandom has collectively agreed that kyoya is sickly and frail and malnourished so jot that down

anyway i think kyoya is vitamin d deficient, iron deficient, perhaps has a thyroid disorder like ME!!! among other things so when they lived together, rouga carried around kyoyas medication & supplements and reminded him to take them throughout the day.

when kyoya took rouga places in the helicopter, rouga would always comment that he could definitely fly it if there were an emergency and kyoya would tell him its harder than you think it is. rouga was unconvinced.

kyoya's sink (bc they probably have one of those giant bathrooms with multiple sinks) has 1000 different skin care and makeup products and rouga's has one bottle of 13 in 1 soap that kyoya begs him to get rid of.

rouga uses kyoya's eyeliner (often).

oh yeah like is it even a headcanon to say kyoya wears makeup. like absolutely he does. when you start dyeing your eyebrows, nothing is off limits.

speaking of dyeing his eyebrows, rouga absolutely helps dye his red highlights and eyebrows. he also helps pluck them into their cunty cunty CUNTY thin shape.

if they were going to a local show, they would absolutely be goth (kyoya) and emo (rouga). don't even argue with me because LOOK AT KYOYAS DISASTER OUTFIT!!! nothing more goth than a vampire cosplay. (also i think rouga would introduce him to a mall goth look and he would love it) and rouga... babe. i wouldnt call you emo if you would move your bangs.

kyoya and rouga both have anger issues. oh? oh, sorry you said headcanons. my bad.

kyoya listens to death metal because i do because it is up-tempo and a nice contrast to classical. vocals in death metal are also often used as another instrument rather than the highlight of the track and i think he would like that. it is also a great way to covertly vent frustration and rage. is kyoya tapping along to a symphony or a cattle decap song? you will never know.

rouga listens to nu metal and grunge. UGHHH righT?????? i dont have an explanation for you here its just right.

like they obv listen to other things but lets be real.

oh also i hc rouga as native american for literally no reason at all <3 (except for that my mommie is native american and i love her)
