yes. there are too many loose ends. more in depth below the cut for those who haven’t seen s4.

from a writing perspective, the story isn’t finished. they’re doing better, but we haven’t closed off their arcs or gotten out of debt or the star. i think the star is a huge thing they’ve all been working towards.

in this, i think this season was meant for healing for carmy, but it’s not always a straight and narrow road. there are still conflicts among him and the characters that need to be resolved. things feel too open ended. marcus, for example, despite his achievements, doesn’t see how good his work really is. we have that similar thing of where everyone is at a different stage of their emotional growth. and sydney and carm are at a weird point together. their argument and agreement doesn’t mean things are okay between them. i think that’ll follow into the next season.

plus, it’s to create more buzz and tension for people to ask for more. ending in such a way will make people tune in for the next season. however, i do have a feeling that the next will be the last. i just hope they send us off the right way.

i see that as the bear succeeding, relationships and traumas being at a good point, and our characters as happy. i think a big question they will answer is whether or not carmy will leave the restaurant. i’m okay with it as long as he finds what he needs. this is really crucial, i fear. this next season will really make or break it for me bc that season finale really hit me hard. like i’ve been overthinking it a lot.

yall… this is genuinely stressing me out. i finished the season in one day and i marveled at the set design and the storytelling and the depth of the characters and their growth and motivations.

but that ending also made me feel so sad??? bc i’m p sure they’re leading towards another season and ending it. and if they don’t and continue without carmy, which is another implication, it feels so overbearing for me.

idk. i need more time to process, but i really don’t want carmen to leave. like holy fuck it really hurt my feelings. i get what they’re trying to do. but this has been my comfort show so it’s cutting deeper.

i want carmen happy ))): he’s been going through it these past two seasons. i expect some revelations about life and purpose, self-discoveries amongst the characters. i am FIENDING for tina and carmen to talk because i just love her character and i want her to be real with him.

i want sydney to input more of her ideas. if she threatens to leave, i want carmen to grovel snjsjsj cause he can’t do this without her!!!

i hope we get more of the other characters and their stories and less of the faks’. i don’t mind them, but i wanna know more about gary. more marcus. i’d prefer it idk.

and if claire is there, i do think carm should apologize for what he’s done. i feel like that’s what the show is leaning towards. but i really don’t gaf about her, i’m v indifferent. so part of me is hoping she accepts it but says they should both move on.

ohhh and i can’t wait for the drama with donna. you know that shit is coming. i wanna see what her interaction is with carmy now that mikey is gone and they haven’t really talked.

also carmy and richie resolution PLS their fighting made me laugh but also so v anxious!!! what do you all think???
