I'm supposed to be working on my project but nooo, my brain demanded I spend like two hours looking at LA!Buggy x Reader fanfiction.
Buggy the Clown x Fem!Reader Enchanted meeting (Part 1)
Authors Note:
Hello everyone!! This is my first time writing so please tell me what you think! I'm sure we've all seen the live-action one-piece. And I've taken a strong liking to a certain clown. Please enjoy as I spin this tale. There's a good deal of flirting, banter, and much more. Definitely going to be a slow-burn fic. If anyone is a little out of character I do apologize. Btw, this is not set in a specific arc but the straw hat crew is included as follows: #MonekeyD.LUffy #RoronaZoro #Nami #Usopp #Sanji #TonyTonyChopper #NicoRobin #Brook #Sanji
Anyway, on with the show!!~
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Context:
"FUCK!"
Screams and cursing erupted everywhere. As far as safety was concerned, there was none. Who knew that going into the forbidden tundra of ice and snow for ice cream would be such a bad idea?
It didn't matter now anyway. The wind whipped at your cheeks as a pair of familiar gummy arms stretched around the crew. There was no ability to see five feet in front of you. After much pushing and shoving the steering wheel was turned and the Thousand Sunny began to fight back.
Finally, with mercy, the storm had to spit you and your crewmates out. Where? No clue. None. The feeling of sand and splintered wood accompanied you all before the darkness followed.
---------------------------------------------------- Current time-----------
"Y/n?!" a voice called out. Opening your eyes hurts like hell. The sun was too bright. And the sand was too cold. Wait... sand?!
Rolling over onto your back the sun's sharp rays began to bore their way into you. Suddenly, a fluff clown covers you. "Y/N!! YOU'RE ALIVE!" Luffy, the sweet goof that he is, crushes you in a tight hug cutting off your oxygen
"Alright, give the girl some space," Nami pulls at the arm closest to her. "What the fuck, happened?" You sit up slowly. "Well-" "THE FUCKING SHIP BROKE!" Heads turn towards a sobbing Usopp trying to rub two pieces of wood together as Sanji comfortingly pats his shoulder. Not too far away, Zoro stands quietly looking over the horizon. A sigh escapes your lips as you deflate into Nami's arms. This could not get any worse. Until a thought hits you.
"Wait, where are the others?" you begin to sit up and look at Nami again. "Robin and Chopper are trying to salvage what they can. Brook got buried under the sand for a while so he's resting." You nod and try to take it all in. So far everyone was alive and counted on. But where were you? Climbing out of Nami and Luffy's company you decided to have a look around. Items were thrown about the beach everywhere including large piles of ice and snow making for a strange scene.
There’s a moment of uncomfortability that you register but don’t address. Silence never bothered you, but one thing was for certain. You and your family were stranded, highly wanted criminals, with no proper way of fixing the ship unless there wasn’t that much damage. Your feet stop as you come across the sight before you. “Shit.”
Half the fucking ship was missing. Well, to be exact the giant ram's head was half buried in the snow. The middle of the left-hand side of the haul was cracked open with continents spilling out. As you got closer you could see Robin and Chopper creating piles of things salvageable. A little bit past them lay Brooks looking more lifeless than you’d ever seen him.
Robin’s eyes caught yours and she waved you over. Watching out for glass and wood you made your way to the haul and placed a hand on the still damp wood. How could everything have changed so quickly? One moment you were all enjoying a frozen treat. The next, holding on for dear life as the elements took their wrath out on you for trespassing. Seeming to read your mind Chopper tugged Robin's leg.
“No need to worry,” Robin said as she pressed a compass into the empty palm of your hand. “I think I know what island we’re on. It’s very secluded on this side so we should be fine. However, the other half holds a very populated town known for carpentry. We just might be saved.” Well, that was the first good news all morning. Zoro had been voted to go with you and pick up some supplies. Also so that he didn’t get lost and have the crew spend 14 years to find him. But the walk was pleasant and you took turns humming different toons until you got to the outskirts of town.
The sound of laughter could be heard as some decorations and flags waved in the air. Seemed like a festival was taking place. Perfect! With all the chaos no one could possibly recognize you both. Zoro managed to find materials needed for the ship while you gathered more basic supplies. However, something about the crowd drew you in. Zoro would be busy for a while so might as well look around,... right?
The middle of the market square was filled with bright colors, noises, and various performers. You made sure to stick to the walls of the town. However, the cheers and yells for more soon had you stepping closer until you found yourself in the middle circle of a performance act. A slightly chubby man who resembled a sheep was fighting with a pink lion and a green-haired man.
While the act was obviously for kids. You couldn’t help but smile as the three began to fight until a man with blue glasses and a strange ponytail ushered them to stop. He whispered something to them and the expressions of fear were almost completely masked. Then as if the fun had been sucked away, they began to bow and pass out folders. You reached forward to receive one from the lion, thanked him, and began to retreat to where you had last seen Zoro. “Well?”
You held out the flier, “We could kill some time tonight?”

Author's note: This was Chapter 1! Sorry if it's a bit short. Don't worry though. I have more planned. Please share and like my post so I know to continue with this. Also, just as a nice little tidbit.
I am downbad for this clown.
Part 2
Like they didn't have to make the live action cast so hot. (Yes, yes the fuck they did.) Now, I found him funny in the anime. But, live action? DAMNNNNNN!!!! I think his eyes are so fucking pretty. His jaw and neck look like they need some special attention. Cheekbones? Biteable. Like I DEMAND to see more of this man. Oh, btw, reader gets very flirty and sassy as the story goes on.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh how did it come to this?
Here you were, on a night out with your friends. Freshly shipwrecked but looking hot. Crew in tow, survived a crazy fall from a trap door and even made it to the show you had so excitedly told your friends about to boost their spirits.
Though, not everything went as planned. As in you and your family of a crew almost died trying to get rare ice cream and were now shipwrecked. Like how the horror house had given you some bruises you’d definitely feel in the morning. Or how Brooks and Usopp almost shit themselves trying to find you in the loony house. You losing the face mask you wore in public to remain anonymous. Luffy going from being excited to frowning so hard it scared the fuck outta you.
And then there was the clown.
Oh yeah, the clown.
You were totally thirsting over a clown.
Back to the present moment, you couldn’t be in a more delicious situation.~
To the performer's credit, they did not react much. Everyone in the East Blue knew the flashy captain. Most towns he had paid a visit to would definitely remember him. Anyone who had ever met the infamous red nosed clown couldn’t forget that one appendage. Your Captain, Luffy, surely didn’t forget that first encounter.
Nor would the Flashy Fool himself forget this enchanted meeting with you.
You had tumbled off the stands from the safety of your friends and crashed into the clown prince of crime.
With your Cherry Red lips pressed right into his infamous nose.
Now surprisingly, Buggy did not react negatively at all. In fact, he didn’t have a reaction.
The man that now held you in his arms was staring at you in disbelief. You slowly removed your lips after what seemed like hours to everyone else. Normally, Buggy would throw down with anyone who even mentioned his nose, let alone touched it.
However, you were rather soft in the action. Sure you stumbled into him like a blind bat. But the accidental kiss was something to behold. Flustered, you removed your lips from his nose quickly, making a soft, "Tch," sound. Stunned (Y/ec) looked up into his green eyes to see complete stillness.
And that scared everyone, including yourself, even more.
You found yourself gasping for air as his firm grip on the small of your back made you feel vulnerable and exposed. Despite your best efforts to hide it, your voice gave you away as you whispered an apology. Your hands were still tightly pressed against his chest, and the other was gripping his shoulder for support. In that moment, you realized that you had lost your focus and gotten distracted, leaving you feeling embarrassed and uneasy
As his gloved fingertips trailed up your arm, you felt a shiver run down your spine. His touch was gentle yet firm, and it seemed to calm the nerves that had been jangling inside you. You looked up at him, and as your eyes met, you felt your heart skip a beat. His other hand found a resting place where your cheek and jaw met, and you closed your eyes, savoring the sensation.
As you opened your eyes again, you noticed that small bits of the carefully placed glitter on his skin had fallen onto your chest. You realized that you were chest to chest with him, and the realization made your heart race even faster. The fast pounding was so loud that you couldn't tell if it was coming from your chest or his.
Finally, he stopped, and just stared at you, his gaze intense and unwavering. You felt your cheeks flush as you met his gaze, and you wondered what he was thinking. It was a moment that seemed to last forever, and yet it was over in the blink of an eye.
“The fuck-” “SHHHHHH!”
Suddenly, Buggy's expression changed, and he did something that filled you with fear - he smiled. But that wasn't the worst of it.
Buggy burst into a fit of laughter.
The kind that made you feel uneasy and unsure of what to do next. It wasn't a simple chuckle or a casual laugh; it was loud and uncontrollable, as if something deep within him had been unleashed. You couldn't help but feel a sense of unease settle within as you watched Buggy laugh on and on.
“Oh, my,” he chuckled, finally wiping away tears. You could hear Zoro behind you clip open a sword. You could also hear Robin cracking her fingers in preparation. Not wanting any trouble, you tried to separate from the giggly clown.
As you stood before him, his gaze was still fixed on you, holding you captive. His eyes were a striking shade of green, clear and bright, yet there was a hint of danger to them. They seemed to bore into your soul, piercing through the spotlight and the darkness beyond. As he looked at you once more, his pupils dilated, giving his gaze an even sharper focus.
By then, your eyes had adjusted to the bright lights, allowing you to take in every detail of his physical appearance. You noticed the redness creeping up his neck, the warmth of his cheeks as they flushed with color, and the subtle changes in his expression that his makeup couldn't hide.
When the grip on your waist momentarily slackened, he lifted you in front of the cheering crowd, only to hold you tighter again. "What an affectionate fan you are, Sweetheart! If you wanted to kiss me, all you had to do was ask," he teased, his voice laced with forced stage presence and barely concealed anger. Despite his impressive ability to improvise and clean up the situation, you couldn't help but sense a faint hint of embarrassment and sadness in his tone that he was trying hard to mask.
You ran out of time to ponder this though as his acrobats began to hoist you over the crowd. Next, his dancers brought in a cage with a cover on it. It was rather large, larger than you would’ve expected given the space.
Looking over at your friends you could see them at war with themselves. On one hand, they wanted to help, but on the other, they wanted to not blow your cover immediately.
“Now ladies and gentlemen, thank you, so much for your patience.”
His tone was still teasing and you could see his shoulders tense under the coat. Okay maybe you could look him over a little bit. His arms were very strong and while you couldn’t see them you sure felt the muscles when you were being held up. Not to mention but he was rather tall, actually. You’d guess he was about 6’5 even without the boots. Also those blue ‘ribbons’ were his hair in two pigtails.
As your eyes peered over the room, you realized that you were trapped inside a net, suspended in the air by three ropes connected to the ceiling. The clown had stopped talking and was now facing you. Then he reached into his breast pocket and pulled out four daggers.
Buggy's mischievous smirk returned as he turned his attention back to you. "You ready up there, dollface?" he asked, his voice dripping with sinister glee.
“Ah Shit.”
As the audience held their breath in anticipation, the clown pulled the sheet off the cage to reveal a massive pink lion. With four sharp blades in his hand, he waved them around in the air and announced his next feat.
"Now I'm going to throw these four blades, count 'em, folks, four," he exclaimed with a grin. "Let's see if that pretty thing up there can keep her cool and NOT fall into the lion's den."
Buggy turned back to you with a dark smile, but something seemed off. As you looked closer, you couldn't help but notice that your lipstick had smudged onto his nose, overpowering his grease paint. Would it be inappropriate to mention it now?
Flick~*
One dagger hit the wood post behind you.
You had to get out of there and fast.
You nodded towards Zoro who patted his shoulder in response. Hopefully, the moss head would pick up what you were putting down. The dress you wore offered no hiding places for weapons, but your thighs did. Pulling your legs up slightly, you feigned fear as you pulled a switchblade from your garter belt. From the looks of things, the lion was very alert. But you were not on the menu this evening. The crowd seemed to love it though. Cheering and gasping at the deranged clown as he drank up their attention.
Flick!~*
Another dagger, another rope, and you only had one lifeline left. The goal was to cut the rope before he could and swing yourself away from the lion's cage. You could see Zoro managed to get away in the chaos of the crowd and hearing a familiar sword click behind you brought some comfort. On the ground behind you was the mossy goof you loved to whistle and take walks with. Taking a deep breath, you began to quickly cut away from the rope below you.
Flick!~*
The final dagger sliced into the rope below you. Had you not been prepared, that lion would've had a very tasty dinner. You held onto the net with one hand as you regained your footing and got ready to swing.
"Ah!~ Now that's cheating!" Hissed the clown below before he threw the last dagger.
Fuck you forgot about that one.
The rope fell, but not without many things happening at once. For starters, Zoro lunged forward and tackled the clown in front of you. Second, Luffy had stretched his arms over the lion's cage and Robin grabbed you and used her powers to bring you back to safety.
Chopper was tucked into Sanji's arms while Ussop got ready to take a shot if needed. Nami drew her bow staff seeing Zoro rise with his hands around the clown's throat before-
"HE'S LOOSE!"
A man that resembled a bear screamed out causing the parents to grab their children.
"EVERYONE OUT OF THE BIG TENT!"
Making sure the towns people got out safely was dangerous but you couldn't help but look back at the clown that you smooched, albeit on the nose. Body parts were flying everywhere as his performers drew various weapons.
"What do we do?" Ussop called out. Brooks dropped his mask and steadied a hand on you. "We're too open to attack, everyone, RUN!" Nami called out, grabbing your hand. Your eyes found Luffy's and while he didn't want to abandon a fight, he knew that there was no way they could protect the citizens of the town if everyone was captured now. As the crew scrambled for the exit you felt a foreign object on your ankle. The gloved hand crawling its way up your leg was NOT welcomed and you screamed while hurling it towards the face of the clown chasing you.
"WHY YOU?!"
The next few minutes seemed to last hours as you and your crew ran into the forest of the island. Truthfully, it was much larger than it had appeared on any map. Too bad you couldn't take its beauty in while running for your actual life.
"GET BACK HERE YOU SHITHEADS!"
Grabbing Zoro and Brooks's hands as you ran you made a Beeline for the ship's remains. They felt a surge of determination, urging them to move faster as you ran. Your heart raced as you hoped that the rest of your group would somehow make it to safety.
As you burst from the dense foliage, the frigid air hit you hard, and you all stumbled down the melting ice-covered beach. You could feel the sweat on your forehead, and the fabric of your dress clung uncomfortably to your thighs as you ran towards the tent and ship remains with your hands outstretched.
Despite not knowing what d.fruit you had eaten as a child, you knew that your powers allowed you to manipulate matter and you could compress objects to a tiny size for transportation. However, the efficacy of your powers depended on the emotions you felt while compacting the object, and you were anything but calm right now.
Your hair was wild and fizzy from the night air, and your heart continued to thump wildly in your chest. The image of those piercing green eyes was seared into your mind, adding to your already heightened sense of anxiety.
"(Y/n) do whatever you're going to do and do it fast," Zoro said, getting his swords ready. Brooks dispatched his cane while taking a stance a few feet from you. "We'll have company soon," you nodded at the bone Dad, and closed your eyes to concentrate. Soon you could feel your remaining energy being drained as you concentrated on compressing the debris around you. The tent and ship remain quickly compacted, and you swiftly scooped them into Nami's bag for safekeeping. It was clear that soon, you would have company, and you needed to be prepared for whatever was coming your way.
"(Y/n)!"
Looking up you quickly realize that your luck has run out.
"Well would you look at that! The little princess has got herself some bodyguards."
It was a blue-haired clown, unmistakably the same one that you had given an unexpected nose kiss. He seemed to be following you with a purpose as if he had a score to settle. The nervous bear man from the town square and the green-haired juggler were standing closely behind him, almost as if they were his accomplices. You couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as you secured Nami's bag over your chest.
"We don't have to do this Buggy. We all know how it'll play out." Zoro seemed to be buying you some time. But you weren't leaving your comrades deserted. Taking a look around you realized that someone had left a bucket on the deserted beach. Creeping away as 'Buggy' and Moss head traded barbs you filled the bucket with seawater.
"Stop moving you little mouse," the green-haired male threw a knife in your direction which was blocked by Brooks. "Trash like you will not speak to the lady in that manner," the bag of bones rattled. Which was funny considering the skeleton's track record. However, you had no time to laugh about this as you crept up close enough to the clown.
"Hey, Mister Clown guy?"
Verdant eyes snapped towards you. A cold sinister smile stretched wide over his blood-red lips and you noticed how sharp his jawline was in the moonlight.
"Yes, cherry princess?"
You smiled and leaned forward with your hands behind your back.
"Catch!"
Confused his posture straightened before you threw the sea water over him. 'Buggy' was now completely soaked with you throwing the bucket.
"ARGH YOU SHITTY BITC-!"
Buggy's rant was abruptly halted by Zoro's fist, which knocked the jester of the seas unconscious. Brook's cane took care of the green-haired male and the bear man held up his hands.
"Please," he looked towards you, "Let me take them back." Your heart softened for a moment as you considered the man carefully. He looked like he was ready to run away but not without his captain and comrade. You nodded towards him and then at Zoro.
"Alright, take them back. But we're even after this." You spoke firmly but your eyes offered a kindness. He smiled a small smile at you before dragging the green-haired male away first. As you approached Zoro, you noticed the sweat glistening on his forehead and bruises forming on his knuckles as you ran your fingers over the grooves.
With a deep breath, you extended your arms and pulled both him and Brooks into a warm embrace. Even though words were unnecessary, the shared hug conveyed everything you needed to say, and they reciprocated with equal emotion.
After carefully inspecting the pack, you turned your gaze towards Buggy's unconscious body. His vibrant blue hair was splayed out around his head, creating a unique and almost ethereal halo-like effect.
Despite the fact that his crew was known for their penchant for violence and insanity, there was no denying that Buggy possessed a certain attractive quality.
If not for the circumstances, one might even describe him as being quite handsome.~
'Oh who am I kidding he's still really fucking hot. Plus the moonlight reflecting off his hair is NOT helping,' you frowned and shook the thoughts from your head.
Zoro gently nudged you with his hip while looking over his shoulder. "The bear guy will be back later. Let's just leave him here," he whispered. You nodded slightly, taking in the serene surroundings. The moon was setting, casting a silver glow over the rolling waves and the sound of chirping crickets filled the air.
You knew everything was fine, but you had to resist stealing a final glance at the peaceful man before falling into step with Zoro and Brooks, quickly walking back into the lush flora. Each step brought you closer to your group, but you couldn't shake the feeling that you were leaving something behind.

“I can’t fucking believe you convinced us to do this.”
Zoro was being a drama mama in the corner of the massive tent you built. Who knew that a 120-berry tent would come in handy? After a little bit of sweet talking you managed to convince some of the entertainers to sell you a tent the Russian circus could be proud of.
Everyone was able to fit inside and even used the piles of salvageable goods for makeshift walls. Zoro had gotten ready in a black fitted vest and some casual grey slacks. You were applying some smoky black eyeliner and purple eye shadow with a light hand.
“Sanji finally got Usopp to stop crying. I don’t think it’s healthy for him to be here right now. I mean he finally put down that piece of wood.” This ship was more than a vessel, it was your home. Where Sanji cooked meals, and everyone took their place beside each other.
“Yeah, well, it would boost morale. Let’s try to put on a brave face for the others tonight." Your offer of reason just made him sigh, "Fine. But then back to reality." You roll your eyes and shoot him a smile. You knew Zoro was just being a butthead. Exiting your “room” together allowed you to bump into Robin and Chopper. “Looking cuter than usual, papa.” Chopper basked in the compliments and gave you a twirl. He found a big red bowtie and some matching blue shorts.
Robin was wearing a royal blue jacket that resembled a ringmaster's coat. She offered a warm but tired smile. “Where’s Usopp?” “Right here my sweets!~” Sanji emerged with a red-eyed Pinocchio. Sanji was dressed in simple black and blue attire while Usopp managed to find something of a forest green. You yourself decided on a vampy look. A black dress with red mesh for sleeves and a pair of deep red chunky heels. Who gives a shit about practically when you look sexy?
Luffy emerged scratching his rear with Nami swatting his hand away. He was in his usual chances but was convinced to put on a normal T-shirt with a star design. Nami looked like a magician's assistant with a similar smoky black vest and plum skirt combo that complimented her figure nicely. Brooks looked as though he was auditioning for the part of a lion with how voluminous his fro was looking.
You nodded at each other and he spoke, “I’d say we clean up rather nicely for having just been shipwrecked.” It was good to see him returning to his elegant self. “Of course, we can’t just parade around as is. So.. I brought masks!” You gleamed while holding up a shopping bag. A mix of groans and snickering.
Everyone took a mask that hid their face completely or partly. To be fair, it would be easy to spot the Straw Hat crew even without the literal skeleton following around. Seeing the sun begin to dip you all decided to get going before night. On the way everyone soon fell into pleasant conversation while following you and Zoro.
“Okay, first we eat! Then, we can play games.” Luffy cheered while running to the outdoor food court. Zoro (finally smiling) rolled his eyes and chuckled,” I’ll go with him and make sure he doesn’t eat the stall itself.” Robin took Chopper to the bounce house while Sanji’s interest was captured by a woman in a red leotard. Usopp was looking around some of the merchant stalls and you were happy to trail behind Brooks as he began to try his bones at ring toss.
The night was a serene affair with warm, salty air, and a gentle breeze that stirred the surrounding foliage. Sitting on a bench overlooking the vast expanse of the ocean, you felt a sense of happiness and contentment. As you looked around, you noticed that the darkness of the area was a bit creepy, but the beauty of the surroundings made up for it. Your friends had survived a shipwreck and were now enjoying the town's festival, but you had no idea what it was about.
Looking over the crowd, you saw many people, including children, wearing masks of all shapes and sizes. As the newest member of the group, you didn't even have a wanted poster yet. Since you always hid your face, there was no point in wearing a mask, right?
Just as you were about to remove your sweaty mask, you heard deep chuckling, sounds of thunder, and children screaming. The mixture of sounds was strange and unnerving, and you felt a sense of curiosity rising within you. Turning away from the ocean, you followed the sounds and found yourself making your way towards the fun house.
Children began to pour through the back doors of the fun house as you did your best not to bump into anyone. Coincidentally, Brooks and Usopp had the same idea. “AHH Y/N DON’T DO THAT!” Usopp shrieked, jumping into Brooks' bony arms and immediately falling. The surrounding children found this amusing. “It’s not MY fault if you’re so jumpy.” You dusted off your heels and looked around. Things seem to be calmer now but something about the house seemed…. Off.
Brooks seemed to sense your discomfort. “Maybe the lady would prefer if we left this area? We could still catch up to the captain and grab some tea before the show.” You shook your head, ”Nah, I’ll be okay. Let’s go in together though. There’s something strange about this house.”
Taking one last look at the outside the three of you stumble into the “fun” house. ‘Fun house my ass,’ you thought while trying to regain your footing. As your eyes adjusted to the darkness you realized it was indeed an old house. However, it was decorated more to the liking of some 1860s vampires. There was the faint smell of mothballs.
“This looks more like a horror house,” Usopp quipped and began touching the walls. Brooks was silent looking at a skeletal dummy in the corner. You placed a hand on his scapula,” Yeah buddy, try not to think about it too much.” Slowly you all made your way into a corridor that split into different hallways. “Do we split or stay together?” You wondered out loud.
“Ya don’t get a choice, sweetheart.” A gruff voice answered.
Suddenly the floor gave out from under your doormat, “Y/N!!” the unusual duo screamed with hands outstretched. You slide under the floor, barely missing their fingertips. A metal slide was delivering you somewhere but there could only be a basement under the house, right? Seeing a neon light at the end of the circular tunnel you stopped yourself before falling out completely. You placed a hand out to feel some surface before slipping and dropping onto a concrete floor.
“Fuck,” this was harder than the sandy landing you were blessed with earlier. After regaining your breathing and sitting up your eye finally adjusted and noticed that the neon light was actually multiple lights. Surrounding you was a maze of silly mirrors that distorted your image completely. “No wonder those kids got out. But NOOO I just had to bring Scooby and the gang in here!” You rubbed your sore ass before dusting off. Thankfully, your heels weren’t broken and you didn’t feel any bumps on your head.
But, getting outta this one was going to take some skill. You notice that the wood surface you felt was another trapdoor that spits you out. However, it was already closed, and no telling when it would open again. Your only option would be to try the maze and do your best. Sighing you pulled out a little tube of red lipstick from your cleavage. Better to Hansel and Gretel your way out than be lost the whole night. That was if you made it out at all. ‘Don’t be ridiculous. The staff has to do a sweep and my friends wouldn’t leave without me anyway.’
The thoughts you offered yourself held comfort. But you’d be lying if you didn’t feel scared. Particularly, it felt as if someone was watching you. Looking around the room and doing a little head shake you strolled up to one of the mirrors and fixed yourself before uncapping the deep red lipstick and touching up your lips.
However, your gaze wandered and you could see something watching you from behind another mirror. “Ah!” you turned around suddenly with your back against the cold glass. Nothing, of course, was there. Simply a figure of your imagination.
But, you knew something was there. And you began to mark each mirror with an angry red slash. Looking over your shoulder gave you little security.
Wait….
Great, now you were hearing things. Because you could’ve sworn you heard a faint,” Yo ho,” and the sound of men's boots following you. “I need to get the fuck outta here.” Step, step, step, step, silence. What was the voice you heard before you fell? It was too deep to be Usopp but also not mature enough to be Brooks. Maybe someone over a monitor was watching you guys? Finally, with mercy, you reached a door that led to a staircase. Taking small quiet steps you held your breath and felt relief when you heard no sounds behind you.
Just as you were about to reach the door it was flung open and strong cold hands grabbed you. “Y/N!!!” You felt a familiar long nose and afro in your face crushing you into a tight hug. Your sweet goofballs have found you! Returning the hug with much vigor you breathed a sigh of relief. “Now don’t you ever disappear through the floor again!” Brooks scolded, waving his arms widely. You let out a soft giggle and he couldn’t help but let the anger melt away. “I can’t promise anything. But what happened to you guys?” Usopp began to spin a wild tale about fighting off monsters and being the one to locate you. “There is Pinocchio ass goes again,” mumbled Brooks rolling his sockets. You could see why those kids were scared. But something deep down inside told you that it wasn’t because of the mirrors. “Let’s get outta here already. I’m sure the others are looking for us.”
The trio made their way to the food court where Luffy was arguing the advertised size of a Jumbo Philly cheesesteak hotdog with an embarrassed Nami and Zoro patting his stomach. Robin was enjoying some warm tea in a travel mug and Chopper had gotten you a big soft pretzel. “Nice job papas,” you mused and rubbed his head affectionately. Sanji strolled up (having just been banned from the kissing booth) and handed Nami a cake plushie. “Something sweet for someone sweet~” She rolled her eyes but accepted the plush peace offering. You tried to shake off the past events but could see Brooks whispering to Luffy and Zoro.
They looked at each other and continued to talk in hushed whispers.
Looking around you realized the booths seemed to be… Deserted. There was no life in them anymore. “I think it’s time for the show. Let’s get going.” Zoro took the lead and everyone gathered their goods. He bumped his hip with yours slightly and you looked up from your pretzel. The green bean haired male raised a single eyebrow at you and you shrugged looking ahead. It’s not like you actually got trapped down there. It was just.. nothing. “It was nothing,” your explanation is accepted, for now, as the Green giant hummed in response. You decided to hang back a little and joined hands with Robin and Nami. Chopper got to ride on Usopp's shoulders for the sake of time.
Arriving at the big top you all paid 4 bounty a ticket. It was a little dark when you first stepped in. Looking around you decided to take hold of Zoro's arm for a little help walking. Luffy whipped out a wad of cotton candy and you traded half your pretzel for it. A hum of excited children and families surrounded you all as everyone took their seats in the middle of the stands.
Suddenly, the spotlight came on and a huge puff of smoke developed inside the ring. Whipping your eyes, you found yourself staring at all the performers. You even saw the lion from earlier! Searching for the man that gave you the flier your eyes tried capturing everyone from the sea of entertainers. Acrobats, jugglers, contortionists, and… a single clown?
His eyes were closed but he stood in the center of all the chaos. Around you, children and parents lost their minds cheering, clapping, and waving to all the performers.
Finally, the clown opened his eyes. He wore a ringmaster's coat, nothing like Robins, and sported a blood-orange pirate hat. Two blue ‘ribbons’ (you guessed) hung from either side of his hat. The boots he wore didn’t look like performance shoes either. And the makeup he wore didn’t look like a typical clown. He had painted his mouth into a permanent blood-red smile. And then you noticed his nose. It looked as though he tapped a rather large orange to his face.
Wait. Did you just see the nostrils twitch as he breathed?
“Huh, that’s pretty strange-” “BINKY?!” Luffy shouted prompting Nami to immediately slap her hand over his loud mouth. “SHHHH!” she hissed into his ear. But she herself looked slightly worried.
The clown man immediately seemed to shift his focus on the group ahead of him. Zoro was now sitting tensely and at attention. “Psst, whose Binky?” you whispered. “Tell you later. Right now, we all need to leave this circus.” Your brow furrowed. Leave? Over a pirate clown?
“There’s no way we could get up without him seeing us,” said Usopp, putting a hand on your shoulder. You could tell his energy was off. “I knew I remembered that voice from somewhere.” Luffy’s smile deepened into a frown. Everyone was acting so fucking weird. You were about to voice your concerns when a familiar voice cut you off-
“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, children of all ages, thank you, truly. It will be my personal pleasure to entertain you all this evening.~”
The clown had now stepped closer to your group. Zoro tugged your sleave but you couldn't help take your eyes off the flashy clown before you.
“Oh…”
You caught yourself about to speak but quickly bit your lips together. Not to be dramatic, but his eyes were a really fucking pretty shade of green. The blue tones around his eyes complimented them so well. You didn’t hear much of what he said, only noticing when he waved his hands at the other performers who either disappeared or got into place.
Zoro couldn’t help but spare you a glance. “Y/n, are you seriously checking out the clown?!” He grunted through closed teeth. Quickly, you shook your head no and looked around that stadium. Luffy was still frowning. Nami was holding onto his arm and you could see Robin pull Chopper into her lap with Sanji putting a protective face on. “Damn, clown,” was all you heard from the seats next to you.
Placing your hand over Usopps, you try to offer him some comfort by running your thumb over his hand. The first act was a simple trapeze act with the performers mixing it up at the end by juggling and riding a unicycle out. Then there was the lion and sheep man but the routine wasn’t comedic. However, you couldn’t stop sweeping over the crowd looking for that green-eyed clown.
And from the looks of things he had no problem finding you.
“Mmm,” you let go of your ruby lips to see him transfixed on your face, head tilted. Almost like he was studying you. You quickly looked away from the act and touched your cheek. Wait, Fuck. You must have dropped your mask in the funhouse when you fell. Looking out the corner of your side, you could still see him staring at you curiously. You decided to close your eyes and try to land back on earth.
‘Everything is going to be okay. I’m safe right here and Zoro will tell me what happened when we get back to the ship.’ The reasoning was stopped when you heard loud screams.
“OH MY GOD!”
A mother (presumably) had cried out along with many other children.
Opening your eyes, you saw the clown's body standing perfectly still as the lion’s face made a puffy expression.
“HE ATE HIS HEAD! HE ATE HIS HEAD!”
Regrettably, you couldn’t stop the, “Oh Shit!” that came out of your mouth causing you to gain a few harsh glares from the parents around. Unconsciously rising to your feet, you leaned in closer to see the damage done. “Where’s his blood?” A few children began to cry a disembodied voice could be heard from the lion.
The sheepman ran over, opened the lion's jaws, and the clown's body walked over and plopped his head back on like nothing happened. The stands fell silent once more before more cheering and screams EXPLODED from the people around you.
“Y/n sit down.”
Oops, forgot you were still standing.
The clown seemed to be drinking in all the attention and flashed an admittedly sexy smile. He raised his arms over his head and a hush fell over the people. “Thank you all for your attention. Now for this next act, I need a volunteer please.” If you weren’t interested before you sure were now, even if you didn’t raise your hand. Zoro, clearly annoyed began to tug at your hand, “Y/n sit-”
“Would the young lady with the cherry red lips please step forward?”
You were blinded once more by the other spotlight as you held your hands up to protect your vision. The light dimmed a bit and you could see everyone, staring at you expectantly, excluding your crew mates.
They were busy staring at the clown in front of you with an outstretched hand. Taking his cue, he shot you a wink and urged you forward. If only your feet would cooperate.
“Don’t be shy now. I don’t bite~” he teased while flashing his teeth. You’d be lying if you said that didn’t do something for you. Not to mention there was this little heartbeat down there that started-
“Aww, maybe she’s shy. Everyone! Let’s give this young lady a round of applause!”
He raised his arms once again and began to clap along with everyone. A single gloved hand shot out towards you urging you to take its hold. Softly pressing your smaller hand into it you were then gently tugged forward towards the ring.
However, you couldn’t feel your legs and as you stepped forward your heels betrayed you again, leading you to tumble down the stands into the arms of the clown before you with your lips-”

Angst fic time guys, bust out the tissues and do your best to recover afterwards.
TW: Sudden death of a loved one
Songfic set to Laufey's: LoveSick
♩Floorboards creaking in my home
Deathly silence when alone
Oh, I wish that you were here right now♩
You awoke with a start and clasped your hands to your neck. Five days, that's all it took for your world to come crashing down around you. Your eyes adjusted to the dim room around you. The sun hadn't bored its way into your windows yet, thankfully. It was a kindness you much needed. Softly, you placed your hands beside you. Closing your eyes, you felt the left side of the mattress to find it ice cold and empty. You knew it would be empty. So why bother checking, anyway? You slowly opened your eyes again, fingers retrieving an orange and white striped bandana.
♩So unlike me, somehow I
Fell in love in just three nights
Those November days still haunting me♩
You met him in a bar. The crew and yourself having docked at a town during the fall. The smell of apples and crisp air was intoxicating to you. Agreeing to accompany everyone to a pub, you sat by yourself as the designated person that evening. However, that changed when your captain ran into an old foe.
"BINKY!" "Fuck Me."
You swiveled around in your step to see a very interesting man before you. He stood over six feet tall and sported a pissed-off look. Maybe you were staring too hard because his angry green eyes flicked directly towards you. Time honestly just stopped there for both of you. Let's be clear: Both parties saw it too. Your (e/c) starbeds locked with his piercing green ones in a mix of curiosity and interest. Your whole body seemed to hum in unison little cheers of, "Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes!" The light around everything else was gone. Only you and him exist in time and space right now. You knew the whole of your face was flushed from the warmth of your body.
But you'd be lying if you didn't see the redness from his neck creep upwards towards the tips of his ears.
Finally, he tore his orbs away from yours and looked back at Luffy. They nodded and called it a truce for that night. Zoro took you to get water while Sanji playfully teased you. You wanted to turn around from the bar and find that man again. You felt strong tingles running up and down the curve of your back. Peeking out from behind your hair, you could see him intently peering at you.
You shook your head, thankful for the bars open window, and returned to nursing your water. There was a quiet buzz all around from the merriment.
Your heart swelled from the harmony but also pounded to be let out. It seemed to call out to you, "Look! There he is! In all his golden resistance. Haven't you ever wished to know? To know, the love from your soul mate? If you don't let me out right now, you never will! Oh, please let me go to him. I can hear his heart too, listen!"
Placing your hand over your chest, you tried to stop your heart from escaping the ribs of your bossom and flying into the chest of that blue-haired man.
You tried to close your eyes and steady your hard breathing. The bartender refreshed your water glass, and you could hear the bar stool next to you scooting back. Opening your eyes, you were met with the same green ones that seemed to shine brighter. You traced over his whole being, not noticing that he had leaned down to your height. The corner of his lips turned ever so slightly until he brought his fist up to rest on his jaw.
The motion caught your attention minutes later when you paused and looked up at him with doe eyes. "Like whatcha see, doll?~" he teased, but there was no venom in his words. Just a soft, warm fullness of his voice.
God, his voice.
You had both talked for hours that night until you could see the sleeping crews behind you, the sleeping bartender, and the sun threatening to peak over the mountains from the bar window. You swapped mailing information and helped walk each other's crews back to the docks.
You prayed that wouldn't be the last time you saw that beautiful clown man. Little did you know he, who raided towns and had closed the world out from his heart, was on his knees that very mourning, praying for the same thing. Thus began the back and forth of a very good friendship.
Anyone could see you were enamored with each other. A strong friendship, built on honesty and trust. One that helped bring out your true personality that your crewmates felt honored to know. You brought out a kind and even vulnerable side to him without shame. Everyone could see the positive changes in your personality and were thankful for it.
♩When the gold rays fell on your skin
And my hair got caught in the wind
The choir sang a melancholic hymn ♩
That first date was a disaster, but a cute one. The clown crew finally pushed him to ask you to be his, and the straw hats were not going to let you hide from this confrontation. He approached you in all seriousness with a bouquet of Copihue and yellow tulips. He gave a glare to his crew from over his shoulder and nodded toward Luffy once more. Everyone gave you some privacy as he gulped and handed you the flowers without looking at you. You accepted them still and tried to find his eyes only to realize his were wet.
"Y/n?"
"Yes?"
He let you towards the stairs then gently sat you down, and tried to speak again. The words seemed to be failing him until he reached for your hands, and you dropped the flowers to reach back. Taking your smaller hands in his seemed to help stabilize him.
He rubbed his thumbs over yours and looked up at you, "I have feelings for you, and I have for a long time. I've had feelings for you ever since that first meeting. I understand that may complicate things. But it's the honest truth. I love you, and I want to be yours." He looked up again his eye red and shiny. His steady voice was clearly shaken as those eyes you loved so much began to fill with tears, searching for your reaction.
You kept your face solid as stone while taking in all the information. He dropped his head and slowly began to retract his hands, taking your silence as a no. Feeling this, you pulled his hands to your chest and embraced him fully. The two of you tumbled a little tumble to the floor, with his warm arms protecting your back and your hands cradling his head. "Oh God, I thought you didn't like me back." He sighed and buried himself into the crock of your neck. You could still feel the wetness of his eyelashes against your skin. Your hands made their way to his back, rubbing and tracing your nails in imaginary patterns on his skin. "Of course I do, you silly clown." You felt him blow a raspberry into your tender flesh causing you to burst out laughing. "I'm not going to take that!" You squealed while tickling him frantic. After much rolling around, you smiled at each other, breathless and happy.
♩(ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah)♩
That first "hang out", he took you out on an all-day date to one of your favorite towns. Zoro huffed something about wanting you back at a decent hour, and your love quirked one eyebrow before waving him off. You punched his arm, and he shot a mischievous grin at you. The day was spent looking through different shops, trying on different outfits together, but mainly just enjoying each other. It was like you could breathe in his scent and be instantly clamed by it.
You walked for hours together through in the sun. During that time, he managed to sneak your hands together, and you squeezed back. You had ended up in a meadow together, lying down. Stating that it was hot, he sat up and removed his striped head covering. It was a rare time when he let his hair cascade down over his shoulders. The sun immidently caught the vibrant stands making it shine and stand out in all the greenery. "Blue is such a rare color in nature." You watched with interest as he sent you a playful wink and gave you his bandana. "Safekeeping," he reasoned. But you felt happiness swarm inside your chest, knowing he was so at peace with you. You climbed into his warm body to rest, and his strong arms welcomed you.
♩In the morning, you would gone♩
You swallowed, hard. Remember hurt. Everything felt like a fever dream. But it was real, and you did live it. Bringing the bandana closer, you could see some blue strands still inside it. Quickly, you carefully scooped them up and placed them inside a little bag on your nightstand. Checking to see if there were any left, you were disappointed to find there weren't anymore. A bubble of hot air rose into your throat, and despite your best efforts, you couldn't push it back down. Everything became overwhelming once more. The memories of you and him together for hours.
♩I'd be mourning, tryin' to keep on
To the memory of your lips♩
One evening, the two of you sat together after dinner on the jolly roger.
Everyone was enjoying the calm and peace of the night. There was a pleasant hum in the air. You had long removed his gloves and were playing with his hands. He wore an assumed smile on his lips that reached to the eyes you loved so much. Leaning over, you gave them a quick kiss before returning to the task at hand. His chuckling brought you back to earth, and you looked up as he cupped your face gently in his hands.
Gazing back at each other, he ran his thumbs over the apple of your cheeks, smiling. GOD, HIS SMILE! His true, sexy, beautiful, genuine smile was just so full of life and love. It was the smile you swore to always have in your eyes. You both seemed to be aware of how close you were sitting. You left a soft peck on his nose that seemed to stir something inside him.
"Hm?" His eyes flicked back towards yours, silently begging for permission. You nodded, and he closed the proximity between you.
♩God, I'm so lovesick♩
In reality, you gasped for air as more choked sobs escaped your lips. Fuck that triggered another memory.
♩What have you done to me?♩
The first time you had gone on a date together was on that very ship with your crews trying to play cupid. It was a sweet gesture, honestly, he seemed more nervous than you. During the date, he took to popping his hands off at the wrists and making them dance on the table to amuse you. You laughed and wiggled your digits at the little performance before you.
Oh, your laugh.
He'd give anything to hear the pearl of your laughter. You grabbed his hands suddenly though, and stripped the gloves off them. They wagged the 'no, no, no' sign at you. "Pfft," you looked up at him, and he watched with curious interest. You tested his strength and even tried 'arm' wrestling, which he let you win at, of course. Finally, you press your lips in a gentle kiss on the back of both hands before returning them.
Looking up, he sat there frozen with his mouth agape. Never before had he been treated so gently. Your cheeks redden, and despite the shyness, you offered a loving smile to him.
"Why'd you do that, babydoll?" He grumbled and looked away, eyebrows furrowed. You scooted your chair over, and he immediately sat up ready to attend to you. You took his hands in yours and traced up the veins in his arms. Fuck how you loved this man's existence.
♩Let me in your atmosphere
Inching closer, but I fear
That I'll love so much, you'll slip away (mm, mm-mm)♩
"Well, when I'm with you, I forget how lonely I was. I don't feel like we're two people. I feel like I found the other half of my being. Our old names might as well be the names for your right hand, and my left."
Looking up at his firey eyes again, you're met with overwhelming emotion. He pulled the bottom of your chair closer before pulling you to sit in his lap. "I feel the same way about you, Y/n." You stay there, together, for a good while. Just two people with one heart in a loving embrace.
"Should we break that up?" "Nah, let them be."
♩Getting twisted in my head
Dreams are nightmares in my bed
Since the last night that I spent with you♩
You had been together for a few months now. That was before your love had gotten into trouble again. Arlong had heard about how close the pirate clown and straw hat kid had grown. Now, while you wouldn't say they were best buddies, they could work together and get along for your sake. Still, he had grown to respect certain aspects of Luffy and even began to speak to Shanks again.
Arlong didn't give a shit about that.
He wanted the map to the One-piece, and he was going to get it. You remembered that mourning when you awoke to the sounds of battle outside and noticed your captains engaged with the fish man. You raced to aid your friends while others boarded the ship in support.
You realized you were in the middle of a losing battle.
Arlong held up two cages with Nami and Buggy inside. "I will let you choose. The girl or the clown." He hissed looking at Luffy with a content smirk. Luffy frowned, he looked torn up, but you saw his eyes meet yours. You pointed to Nami and continued to sneak behind the monster of a man.
"I choose Nami!"
"Well, here she is!" The cage was thrown into the deck with razor-sharp attached. The attack was meant to kill Luffy but thankfully he was able to jump out of the way before trying to free Nami. Robin could only do so much and she and Boa tried to halt the man before them. For their sister's friend? They'd go to the ends of the earth for her.
A familiar gloved hand stopped you from going any further when you realized that it was pointing at something. The key! You used your ghost touch invisibility to pull it from Arlong's belt. Tossing the key into the open hand, you watched your love pick the lock open and pop out.
Screaming ensued, and some home was reassumed when you drew your blade to cut off one of Arlong's feet. The mammoth stumbled and halted any further attacks. "You little BITCH!" he swiped at you
Luffy couldn't be quick enough to save you.
♩When the gold rays fell on your skin
And my hair got caught in the wind♩
But a certain flashy fool could. You felt someone wrap their arms around you before deeply shuttering. You saw the familiar blue waves and knew who had saved you. "Hang tight, we might have to abandon ship." Cutting off Alrong's foot had given your crew the advantage point, with Luffy able to get the others to the emergency boats. However, this didn't stop as Arlong. He rushed forward, grabbing Luffy by the neck as he did with Zoro.
"HEY SHITHEAD!" Arlong looked up in time to see a flying boot kick him in the face. Several flying body parts were swarming him, allowing Luffy to slam his fist into Arlong's mouth. You took the opportunity to rush forward and slice off the purple outstretched hand. "ARRRAHHHH!"
Luffy could only pull you away as Arlong managed to grab hold of the clown's head. The rest of his body quickly came together. "You know knives won't work on me you fucking prick."
Arlong smiled as he dropped the blue sailor and used his remaining hand to reach into his pocket. He smiled cruelly before simply answering, "I know." He pulled something out that caused Nami to scream deafening.
And just like that, your love was gone.
♩The choir sang a melancholic hymn
(ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah)♩
Your captain is impervious to bullets the way your love was impervious to knives. Cold, hot pain flooded your chest as your eyes took in the scene before you. Your body couldn't move fast enough to keep up with your heart. Dashing under Arlong legs, you were able to reach your hand out to your love and see the fear in his green eyes vanish for one moment before he mouthed something and smiled.
Then, he hit the water with a violent splash.
The moments that followed were a blur. You saw him disappear under the waves, you heard your crew mates screaming for you, and you felt your knuckles go white as you clutched your blade hearing the deafening laughter in your ears again. You also heard the screams of horror when you turned, with a strength you didn't know you had and slashed upwards at the face of your tormenter. You heard something thud harshly toward the floor behind you.
Not one fucking thing mattered anymore. You jumped off the ship's edge into the water where you'd last seen him. Either fate wasn't on your side, or the ocean already laid its claim to him. Because the man you had grown to love was gone.
♩In the morning, you're not in my bed♩
You searched for hours until it was almost dawn again, and Zoro was finally able to pull you from the ocean. Your eyes were blood red from all the crying and seawater. Nami embraced you in her arms as the search boats anchored. She rubbed your back comfortingly, despite the ptsd behind her eyes. You choked out a sob, and whispered, "He has to be here."
"Y/n!"
You looked up quickly to find Luffy waving at you. He and Ussop climbed into your shared boat. He held something out for you. Taking it quickly, a silent cry emerged from your throat as you held the item tighter.
His oragane and white bandana that was still dry somehow. Your lips trembled, and you raised it to your face. It still smelled like him, but this time, it brought you no comfort. Your crew had finally reached shore, but you refused to leave the boat. Luffy was now the leader of another crew in the absence of their captain. So much had to be done.
♩I'll just sleep until I fall dead
To the memory of your lips♩
In the present time, you were fully crying in the little solace you had in your room. No sound could be heard, but then again, there was no one around to hear it. The man you loved was, gone. You couldn't even give him a proper burial.
At first, you refused to accept this. Saying that he always came back after trouble. But you saw where Arlong had shot him. How big the red circle in his chest bloomed, and you knew that there was no way he could've swam to safety.
You closed your eyes again and tried to take in the little air you had.
His eyes softened, and he spoke those words again. And he smiled, he smiled! He smiled like there was nothing wrong at all. Like he was about to take you to the bookstore again. Like he was about to embrace you with those arms again and show you how much he-
No. You couldn't keep doing this to yourself. The first few days, you refused to sleep. Now, it had caught up with you, and all you wanted to do was not wake up.
Every time you close your eyes, you see that face again.
You saw the man that swore an oath to you.
The man you thought you'd grow old with.
A man who you met at a bar by chance.
That very same man who used to stand on his head to make you laugh.
The man who made you feel whole and complete as much as you did to him.
Was gone.
♩"God, I'm so lovesick
What have you done to me?"♩
"Y/n?"
You sat up at the sound of Sanji's voice.
"You have to get ready now hon it's almost time." You could hear him placing a tray outside your door. Sanji knew you wouldn't eat. But he still made you something every day and filled your water pitcher.
"Thanks, I'll be out soon," you managed in your best voice. You shuffled into the bathroom and got cleaned up.
♩(Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah)
Ah-ah-ah-ah♩
You slide down under the water in your tub and lay there with your arms crossed. Nothing felt real, not the water, not the day, nothing.
Out of respect for you both, the crew had arranged a funeral on the water. You rose to get dressed in a black top and blue bell bottoms. You tied his bandana around your neck. He would've gagged at the use of boring black colors.
Hearing something shuffled outside your door you open it to see a single boxed gift. You look around before picking it up to inspect it. The note attached was in Zoro's handwriting.
"For one badass bitch,"
You opened it to see a jar with Arlong's nose.
♩Ah-ah-ah-ah (ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah)
Ah-ah-ah-ah♩
And the emotional dam broke as all the memories came flooding back. Your first time meeting, your first date, him opening up to you. Watching him perform and blow you kisses. You showing him your confident side. Kissing his nose and holding his face. Him carrying you through your walks when your legs got tired. Doing each other's make-up. Dancing together without any music, play fighting in the town square, announcing your relationship to your crew. Too many memories to relive in one moment. You kneeled down by the side of your bed and began to pray again. For his safe return and if not that, then his soul.
Another knock on the door broke your train of thought. Opening it, you saw Luffy and Nami standing there. "I know it's time," you whispered hoarsely. You took the jar with you and headed up the stairs onto the deck. The rest of the crew fell into step behind you.
♩Ah-ah-ah-ah (ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah)
Ah-ah-ah-ah♩
Glancing up, you saw everyone in the surrounding ships wearing their flashiest clothes. His crew was trying to stifle some tears of their own.
The next few moments were a blur as you thanked everyone and held the service. Finally, you held out the jar that contained Arlong's nose and lit it on fire before throwing it into the ocean. Behind you, Nami let out a sigh of relief.
You felt a strong hand on your shoulder as Zoro helped you away from the edge of the boat. Turning around, you were then faced with Luffy holding a handmade captain's hat out to you. "I can't lead them the way you could." You looked towards his crew and back towards your captain.
You gently lifted the hat from his hands and held it up for all to see before placing it over your head. There were cheers in every direction, and you smiled for the first time in days.
♩Ah-ah-ah-ah (ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah)♩
You looked back towards the water. The sun was rising full over the water now. Everyone has begun to celebrate the life of a one of a kind crazy clown, beautiful, clown.
"I love you too, Buggy."
I hope you all enjoyed! Please make sure to like and check out my other works! Of course I do not own the music or One-piece. The hand comment was inspired by Garnet from Steven Universe.

Part 3: Here.
Back again my loves!!~ Raise your hand if you wanna fuck the clown! On with the show!!~
The dense foliage of the island's forest enveloped them, casting dappled shadows that danced across the forest floor as they ventured deeper into its heart. Your heart pounded with a mix of adrenaline and uncertainty, each step forward a silent testament to their resolve. Zoro and Brooks led the way, their presence offering a sense of reassurance amidst the oppressive silence of the jungle.
"So, what's the plan now?" Brooks voice was barely above a whisper, as if afraid the very trees might betray their presence.
Zoro glanced back, his expression unreadable behind the bandana that adorned his forehead. "We find the crew. That's our top priority."
(Y/n), breaking the silence as she scanned the surrounding foliage for any signs of movement. "They could be in danger if we don't find them soon."
"And what about Buggy and his lackeys?" Brooks's bony fingers tapped against the hilt of his sword, a subtle reminder of the looming threat.
"We deal with them if they decide to show up again," Zoro's grip tightened on his swords, a silent promise of confrontation.
You nodded, your heart pounding in your chest as you pushed through the thick vegetation, your senses on high alert. Brooks followed closely behind, his skeletal form swaying with each step as he scanned the area for any signs of danger.
The memory of Buggy's piercing gaze lingered in the reader's mind, a chilling reminder of the dangers that lurked in the shadows. There was something unsettling about the way he had watched them vanish into the foliage, a silent predator biding his time. As they ventured deeper into the forest, the sounds of the outside world faded away, replaced by the symphony of nature.
Your footsteps were muffled by the thick carpet of leaves beneath their feet, the occasional rustle of wildlife the only indication of life in the dense jungle. Hours passed, each minute stretching into eternity as they searched for any sign of their missing crewmates.
The weight of responsibility pressed down on the your shoulders like a leaden cloak, each moment of uncertainty a silent reminder of their duty.
"We need to split up," Zoro's voice shattered the oppressive silence, his words cutting through the air like a blade.
You blinked, taken aback by the suggestion. "Split up? Your mossy ass can’t even find your way around town-"
"It's the only way we'll cover enough ground to find them," Zoro's gaze was steady, a silent command that brooked no argument. "You go east with Brooks. I'll head west. We'll meet back here by sundown." Before you could protest some more, Zoro had already vanished into the underbrush, leaving them standing alone with Brooks. The skeleton swordsman shrugged, a skeletal grin spreading across his face.
"Well, shall we, my dear friend?" Brooks's voice held a note of anticipation, a ghostly echo amidst the silence of the forest. You linked hands with the afro pianist and got to steppin. With a heavy sigh, you nodded, steeling yourself for the task ahead.
As you ventured deeper into the forest, a sense of unease settled over y’all like a shroud. What dangers lurked within the shadows of the jungle, and would you ever find your missing crewmates amidst the tangled maze of trees and vines?
And what of Buggy, the enigmatic clown whose presence loomed over them like a dark cloud? Would their paths cross once more, and if so, what fate awaited them at the hands of the unpredictable pirate?
Only time would tell as the reader embarked on their journey into the heart of the unknown.
Suddenly, a rustling in the bushes ahead caught your attention, and you froze, your muscles tense as you waited for whatever lurked within to reveal itself. You didn’t have much fight left, but you weren’t going down like that. However, instead of a threat, a familiar figure emerged from the foliage, his black hair and distinctive scar marking him as none other than Luffy, the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates.
"Hey, guys!" Luffy called out, his voice ringing out through the forest as he bounded towards you with a wide grin.
"LUFFY!"
Relief flooded through you as you swallowed Luffy into a tight hug. Brooks joined soon after as the three of you quietly rejoiced. He tugged you both through the dense undergrowth, your heart lightened at the sight of your friends gathered together in a small clearing. Nami, Sanji, Chopper, and Usopp were huddled together, their expressions a mix of relief and concern as they took in the sight of you and Brooks emerging from the forest.
"Thank goodness you're all right," Nami said, her voice filled with relief as she rushed forward to embrace you. "We were starting to worry when you didn't come back."
"We ran into some trouble with Buggy and his crew," Brooks explained, his voice grim as he recounted the events of the encounter. "But we managed to get away before things got too heated."
Usopp paled at the mention of Buggy, his eyes widening in fear as he clutched his slingshot tightly in his hand. "Buggy?" he exclaimed, his voice trembling with fear. "But he's one of the most dangerous pirates in the East Blue!" Sanji scoffed at Usopp's words, his expression filled with disdain.
"Please, Buggy is nothing compared to the likes of us," he said, his voice dripping with confidence. "We'll take him down without breaking a sweat." But despite Sanji's bravado, you couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered in the air. Buggy may not have posed a threat in that moment, but you knew that he wouldn't give up so easily. And with a bounty on your head, you couldn't afford to let your guard down for even a moment.
As you and your friends discussed your next move, a sense of determination settled over you. You may have escaped Buggy's clutches for now, but you knew that the real challenge lay ahead. And with your friends by your side, you were ready to face whatever dangers awaited you in the treacherous waters of the Grand Line.
But as you glanced back towards the forest, a chill ran down your spine at the thought of the clown pirate lurking in the shadows, his piercing gaze following your every move. The encounter may have ended for now, but you knew that this was only the beginning of your journey into the heart of darkness. And with Buggy's watchful eyes upon you, the real battle had only just begun.
Wait…..
“ZORO!”
You slapped your hands over your mouth in shock as the surrounding birds began to fly away. Luffy and Nami turned towards you with a serious look passing between them. Usopp groaned as he pulled his bandana over his face. “My dear,” Sanji’s soft voice called toward you, ”Please tell me that he is somewhere close by?” You shook your head no and began to tie your sweaty hair away from your face.
“Welp, we’re fucked,” Usopp stood up and began to pace around. “I’m fucked, you’re fucked, we’re all!-”
Robin proceeded to slap the back of his neck effectively cutting off his speech.
“Zoro will be fine. He’s barely had enough time to even get lost on the island. Luffy and I will go search for him while you guys have a rest.” She took note of her bag in your arms and nodded towards it. You nodded back, happy to not use words as you realized your lungs were still burning. Robin gently pulled the bag from your arms and you sat down in the tall grass.
Luffy continued, “Nami and I will be back by sunset. If we don’t find him by then, Sanji and Usopp will take the next round. Robin and Chopper will-” you raised your hand and Luffy slowly tilted his head forward. “Robin, Chopper, and (Y/n), will go out next.” Everyone nodded towards the straw hat captain as he and the navigator set out.
“The funky clown was after her. I don’t think it’s a good idea for her to be on the move.”
“(Y/n) is her own person and she can defend herself. I think she doesn't want to be alone right now. I can’t stop her from wanting to help and find her friend.”
But little did they know, amidst the dense foliage and winding paths of the forest, another figure moved with silent purpose. His flamboyant attire stark against the muted greens and browns of the jungle, watched from the shadows as the reader and their companions disappeared into the distance.
A smirk played across his lips as he adjusted his tricorn hat, his eyes gleaming with a mixture of amusement and anticipation. The game was afoot, and Buggy was determined to play his part to the fullest.
With a theatrical flourish, he melted into the undergrowth, his smile echoing through the silent forest like a harbinger of chaos.
Hours had passed before the duo came back without the mossy giant. Sanji and Ussop had no luck either. During this time, you had enlisted Chopper and Brooks to help chop wood and draw the layout of a wood cabin. The materials you compacted inside Nami’s bag would come in handy. (You really put those boys to work, lol.)
Chopper took the time to hug and smooth out your hair before getting to work. You appreciated the moment of comfort it brought you. Communication was touch and go for a while with your voice still recovering as you tried to ignore the other aches and pains.
At the very least, the foundation of the cabin was laid. Not to brag or anything but it was a very large cabin in the middle of nowhere. The nearby tree’s still offered privacy and there was plenty of farmland and a nearby waterfall/river. You also enlisted Sanji and Robins help in digging a basement with three levels. You and Sanji got to work on the bathrooms while Nami and Luffy set forth creating the walls for the second and secret third floor.
You personally saw to finishing the roof of the cabin before sending everyone to get started on the farm outside. There was no telling when you’d be able to get back your mission or when the ship would be repaired. Speaking of which, you had checked on the remains within the pouch inside Nami’s bag. Safe and sound, for now that is.
You all ended the day extremely tired and sweaty. You were happy in your abilities to create such a home for your family to live in during this uncertainty. But you’d be lying if you said you didn’t miss the sea. Especially with Zoro missing and that damn clown on the loose.
As the sun began its descent towards the horizon, casting an orange hue over the island, you and your crewmates gathered inside the now finished cabin. Sanji produced some matches and brought the fireplace to life, the crackling flames providing a comforting warmth against the cool evening air. Despite the chaos and danger that lurked in the shadows, there was a sense of camaraderie and unity among your group, a bond forged by shared trials and victories.
As you sat by the fire, sharing stories and laughter with your friends, your thoughts drifted back to the encounter with Buggy and his crew. Despite the danger they posed, you couldn't shake the feeling of curiosity that tugged at your mind. Why had Buggy sought you out? What did he want with you, and why did he seem so fixated on your presence?
What was with that damn nose and why did your little smooch set him off?
Lost in thought, you barely noticed when Brooks approached you, a concerned expression on his skeletal face. "(Y/n), are you alright?" he asked, his voice filled with concern. "You seem lost in thought."
You shook your head, forcing a smile as you turned to face him.
"I'm fine, Brooks," you reassured him, though the unease still lingered in the pit of your stomach. "Just thinking about everything that's happened today."
Brooks nodded understandingly, his hollow eyes filled with empathy. "It's natural to feel overwhelmed," he said, his voice soft and comforting. "But remember, we're all in this together. No matter what challenges we face, we'll overcome them as a team."
His words were a comforting reminder of the bond that held your group together, a reminder that you were not alone in this journey. With your friends by your side, you knew that you could face whatever dangers lay ahead, whether it be pirates, marines, or the treacherous waters of the Grand Line.
As the night wore on and the fire burned low, your crewmates settled down to rest, the gentle sounds of the jungle lulling you into a peaceful slumber. You, Robin, and Chopper began to venture out for Zoro. Sanji and Luffy would be keeping watch while Nami and Brooks got some rest. This whole ordeal was slowly starting to wear on all of you. Before you left, Nami passed you the dagger you dropped inside the big top. “Be careful out there,” she hugged you three before going inside.
And as you ventured off, you couldn't help but feel a sense of hope stirring within you, a hope that no matter what trials awaited you on the horizon, you would face them with courage, determination, and the unwavering support of your friends.
Hopefully 8 hours of sleep.
Robin had regained her compass and you both took turn carrying Chopper. The beach was empty with no sign of Zoro or the Flashy fool. (Thank God!) But you couldn’t help but stand far, far away from where the man once lay.
As the night deepened, casting long shadows across the forest floor, a sudden rustling in the underbrush shattered the tranquility of the evening. You and your crewmates tensed, reaching for your weapons as you scanned the darkness for any signs of danger.
But instead of a threat, a figure emerged from the shadows, his distinctive red nose and flamboyant attire marking him as none other than Buggy the Clown. His toothy grin sent shivers down your spine as he approached, his eyes fixed on you with a almost teasing predatory gleam.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Buggy said, his voice dripping with amusement as he sauntered towards you. "It seems I've stumbled upon quite the little gathering."
He stood over six feet tall and sported a sexily teasing look. Maybe you were staring too hard because his angry green eyes flicked directly towards you. Time honestly just stopped there for both of you. Your (e/c) starbeds locked with his piercing green ones in a mix of curiosity and interest. Your whole body seemed to hum especially down there again-
Blinking hard, you bristled at the sight of him, hand tightening around the hilt of your dagger as you prepared for a confrontation. But before you could react, Buggy raised his gloved hands in a placating gesture, his grin widening.
"Now, now, there's no need for hostility," he said, his tone disarmingly casual. "I'm not here to cause trouble. In fact, I've come with an offer."
An offer?
You exchanged wary glances with Robin, unsure of what to make of Buggy's sudden change in demeanor. But before she could respond, Buggy turned his attention to you, a calculating gleam in his eyes. "I couldn't help but notice that you've lost quite the swordsman," Buggy said, his gaze lingering on your lips with a mixture of curiosity and greed. "And I just so happen to have a score to settle with him."
You bristled at Buggy's words, taking a step forward.
"What are you getting at, clown?" Chopper growled, his voice angry and anxious. Buggy chuckled, his grin widening as he took another step closer.
"Simple," he said. "I'll back off your swordsman in exchange for her."
He nodded in your direction, his eyes gleaming with avarice as he gestured towards you with a flourish. Your heart skipped a beat at his words, a chill running down your spine as you realized what he was proposing.
You felt a surge of fear and anger rise within you, the thought of being handed over to Buggy like some kind of bargaining chip filling you with a sense of indignation. But before you could voice your protest, Zoro stepped forward from the brush, his expression steely as he faced off against Buggy.
He seemed as cool as ever, though. Rolling an apple in his hands and offering it towards you. You frowned and his grinned stretched even wider as he withdrew the apple and brought it to his matching lips.
You watched him take a sinful bite as the juices dribbled down his chin. That lizard part of your brain wondering what it would look like to have you dripping down his chin instead. His chuckle broke your trace however and he wiped his mouth with the back of his glove.
"Tik tok, cherry princess. There's no sea water out here to help you."
"Like hell I'd ever agree to that," Robin stepped forward, her voice dripping with contempt. "You think I'd trade one of my friends for some measly berry? You've got another thing coming, clown." Zoro walked past the clown prince like he didn’t even exist.
Buggy's grin faltered at Zoro's words, his eyes narrowing as he took a step back.
"Fine," he said, his tone bristling with annoyance. "But don't say I didn't offer you a chance. You'll regret turning me down, mark my words."
With that, Buggy turned on his heel and disappeared into the darkness, leaving you and your crewmates standing in the silence of the forest, the tension thick in the air. But despite the danger that lurked in the shadows, you couldn't help but feel a sense of relief at Robin and Zoro’s unwavering loyalty, a reminder that no matter what challenges you faced, you would always stand together as a team.
The tension lingered long after Buggy's departure, casting a shadow over the otherwise tranquil night. You and your crewmates remained on high alert, wary of any further threats that might emerge from the darkness.
Zoro's refusal to entertain Buggy's offer had earned him a mixture of admiration and gratitude from the rest of the crew. As the initial shock of the encounter began to fade, you found yourself filled with a newfound sense of respect for the swordsman.
"Thanks, guys," you said softly, breaking the silence that had settled over the group. "For standing up for me back there."
Zoro grunted in response, his expression unreadable as he stared off into the distance. "Don't mention it," he muttered, his voice gruff. "Just doing my job as your friend."
Despite his gruff demeanor, you could sense the underlying sincerity in his words, a silent acknowledgment of the bond that held your crew together.
Robin grabbed your hand tightly and the four of you began to walk home quietly and carefully. Buggy was clearly on the prowl and you didn’t realize how badly you were shaking until Zoro scooped all of you up to take you home.
You couldn't bring yourself to admit that it was from excitement though.
As the night wore on, the tension began to ease, replaced by a sense of camaraderie and unity among your group. You gathered everyone inside and were greeted sweetly by the best cook and best shot in all the seven seas. You added more wood to the fireplace, the crackling flames casting a warm glow over your faces as you got ready to turn in for the night.
But even as you tried to push thoughts of Buggy and his crew to the back of your mind, a nagging sense of unease lingered in the pit of your stomach. You couldn't shake the feeling that they would return.
But for now, you pushed those thoughts aside, focusing instead on the comforting presence of your friends and the shared sense of purpose that bound you together.
And as you settled down to rest once more, the comforting warmth of the fireplace lulling you into a peaceful slumber, you couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope stirring within you, a hope that no matter what trials awaited you on the horizon, you would face them head on.
As for now, you were content with curling up around the rest of the crew and having a bath first thing in the morning.
But little did you know, just outside your window in the shadows stood a flashy man. His green eyes glowing in the darkness the lush forest had to offer.
Buggy was determined to meet you again and as he looked over your sleeping figure one more time it couldn't be more clear he was not giving up.
