Contrary to what you may hear from lazy pundits and Trump-friendly media, Democrats are fighting back. It's Republicans who are in disarray over the cover-up of Donald Trump's long involvement with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

In the exchange above at a House Oversight Committee meeting, Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL-10) took no shit from Rep. Clay Higgins (Racist-LA-03).

Louisiana has one of the highest crime rates in the US. Yet Higgins spews the fetid MAGA bullshit about Washington, DC being overrun by criminals. Of course if he had been talking about 06 January 2021 I would certainly concede that one day to his characterization.

Maxwell Frost, sadly, is too young to run for US Senate next year. Otherwise he'd be a marvelous contender for L'il Marco Rubio's old seat.

Republicans spreading racist comments? I'm sure you're just as shocked as I am. /sarcasm

It seems that Donald Trump and J.D. Vance have declared war on Haitian-Americans. And Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA-03) wants to be a general in that war.

Higgins has been a racist turd for a long time.

Sadly, Higgins represents a deep red district and is in no danger of losing re-election this year.

GOP congressman to Black protesters: “I’d drop any 10 of you where you stand”

The Louisiana lawmaker made his threat on a Facebook post that was eventually taken down.

In a post, a white Republican House member threatened to kill BLM protesters. The Facebook post by Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA-03) was taken down by the social media platform which usually facilitates Republicans and Donald Trump in particular.

Higgins is another one of those right-wingers who apparently feels that the 2nd Amendment is just for white people. He’s a former cop at the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office; obviously they have a very low bar there.

His district was recently hit by Hurricane Laura but he seems to devote a lot of his attention to stoking bigotry well outside his Louisiana district.

So it’s not just Trump who has been encouraging violence and unrest. It’s become a disease spreading through GOP ranks.

Sketchy Republicans like Higgins should be an added incentive for us to support Democrats running for US House in order to retain the current majority there. While most attention is currently focused on the presidential election, all 435 House seats and 35 of the 100 Senate seats are up for grabs.
