The beautiful thing about living in an island (plus 7,000 more) is that even if you took the wrong turn, you still find yourself lost in a beautiful paradise. That's exactly what happened during this trip. This island promised a spectacular view of huge ocean waves crashing into cliffs. It was a short hike to the top of the cliff but I still managed to scrape my knee #ouch and tripled my heart rate #labdab because for every step forward, I got knocked back two steps back #sandmonster When I finally caught up with the group, they were trying to decide which way to go. "Why are WE stopping? Are we lost?" #panting #butgladforthebreak The trail led downhill which didn't make sense but it was the only visible trail so we continued on and found ourselves lost in this beautiful secluded beach with no othet soul in sight (except we knew peope were there because they left their trash #ugh ). We did reach the top of the hill, took some photos but went back to this secluded beach with a front row seat to the Turtle Island, away from all the crowds. #lostinparadise #cabganisland #surigaodelsur #philippines #islandhopping (at The Turtle and Cabgan Island in Surigao del Sur) https://www.instagram.com/p/BtuaSjkhHJv/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=fqam4o4sxkfj
