Whatt? Sequel???
There’s a sequel/reboot in the planning. Personally, I’m not holding my breath on it actually happening until I see a trailer, but Lisa Henson is producing it and Fede Alvarez and Jay Basu are doing the script--at least as of April.
I haven’t heard anything about it in the past few months, and I tend toward skepticism where films are concerned. So I’m not getting any hopes up until I have reason to. But that’s just me.
So I saw an article talking about the director of the Nosferatu remake planning on rebooting Labyrinth! If this is true, I'm looking forward to seeing how he'll do on Labyrinth, and I wonder who will play the role of Jareth and Sarah in the reboot, I hope there will be a tribute of some kind for David Bowie, and a cameo of Jennifer Connelly would be cool as well!
The LABYRINTH SEQUEL is going to: - feature zombie CGI Jareth ♡ - be directed by Joel Schumacher - have me as concept artist.
No really, I will draw zombie Jareth one day or another. I love to draw dead people.
FITE ME
Someone tell me I’m not the only one against a reboot of the Labyrinth?
I don’t know how they could do a proper sequel without Jareth (there is no substitute for Bowie), especially if the manga is any example. And I most certainly don’t want a whole new movie with new people.
There are only so many reboots of old movies I can take. This one, unfortunately, crosses a line.
