Trust is an area that I'm currently working on. I am sure 99% of my friendships and relationships didn't work out due to lack of trust. I view trust issues as a form of betrayal. I've always been the type to give you all of me until you show me otherwise. Honestly, I think I'm too trusting initially. Once my faith in you is gone, there is usually no way of fixing it. I eventually reached the breaking point when I grew tired of being a P.I. in my relationships. I told myself if the snooping ever gets to that point again it's time to let it go. __ I had the biggest problem with my daughter because she would lie all of the time. I would get annoyed when she spoke (sometimes I still do) because I felt like whatever came out of her mouth were lies. I am the same way and would probably say worse with other people. I have no issue with stepping away from you once the trust is gone. Lack of trust is one of the reasons I do not have real-time friendships. I gave up on believing in people, sharing my time, intimate thoughts, and associations to be disappointed. I know it sounds messed up. I know it's also something I need to deal with to foster healthy relationships. I do eventually forgive them, but I will never have anything to do with them again. Most say I am incredibly black and white, which I have to agree. I am getting better by rationalizing why I do not trust someone, but I'm truly a work in progress.
