LADS men and you doing the "My boyfriend wants to show you his _____ collection and you better be nice!" Trend

Please I've been seeing this trend and they're all so cute and wholesome, so here's what the boys would show in the video.

Sylus, Xavier, Rafayel, Zayne, Caleb.

Sylus (jewels)

"Hey guys, my boyfriend wants to show you his jewels collection, be nice!"

Sylus happily show the camera his collection of jewels he had won in auctions, along with Mephisto who would fly around and fetch each jewel he mentions.

"Tell them how much you spent on each jewel!" "Why? They won't be able to afford it." "Sy, be nic- yeah you're right."

Xavier (baking progress)

"Hey! My boyfriend wants to show you his progress of making the perfect bread and-" you whisper menacingly "you better be nice."

Xavier, covered in flour shows his.. perfect bread. The audience can clearly see the burnt side but Xavier quickly say "These little burnt spot makes the bread yummier and more authentic, unlike Charli-" "Xavi!!" "My bread is better." "Yes it is, my star."

He tore a little piece for you to taste and you ate it.. it was actually good. Well, not as bad as batch 27. "Mm! It's true what people say, the 50th time is the charm!"

Rafayel (paints)

"Hello! My husband wants to show you his collection of paints and I know you all adore him so be nice, alright?"

He shows the camera the 50 different yet looks very similar shade of purple. Yet Rafayel insists each one of them is different from the other, telling the audience how exactly he got those colors.

"Now this one, I got from a flower called Wisteria.. this one is from a Lavender. They appear the same but you can see that the other one is darker. Can you see it?" You tried your best to look intimidating in the background. He is just too cute.

Zayne (ice animals)

"My boyfriend is about to show you the ice animals he made from his evol, so be nice. Go ahead, love."

Zayne had five ice babies in his arms, he starts explaining each of the little animals' background. "This one is a seal.. it's the seal I gave her when we met again." You nod happily. "This one is a little cat.. I saw one and I scared it off, so I made a mini version to keep..."

You happily pat the little babies, the ones Zayne hands to you after he's done showing it to the camera.

Caleb (model airplanes)

"Heyho~ My sweet darling boyfriend wants to show you his model airplane collection so," you lean in dangerously close to the camera, "be nice."

"Alright!" Caleb immediately takes over, his natural charming self makes you question whether or not it was necessary for you to be intimidating when you're sure he can win over everyone easily. But you digress.

Each model airplanes he shows, he tells the audience the price and how long it took him to assemble, how you've helped him built many of them. You giggle, going down the memory lane along with him.

Ok at first I want Caleb to show different types of apples but but but model airplanes won, baby needs to get his nerd on.

You gotta let me know your thoughts on Sylus’s wedding card 👀

First off, a lot of girlies were disappointed by MC’s dress with Sylus but besides being a reference to Sorceress’s dress, it is very much like Sylus to choose something non-traditional. In the kindled scene itself you look so ethereal floating up the steps with that dress 😩 the feathers are an important motif too especially the contrast of his dark vs her light. You could even go a little more crazy and bring in angelic association and the speculation/hinting towards Sylus being demonic/fallen angel-like

All the memories for this banner seem to tie into previous myths for the boys with the chapel for Sylus and the tower for Zayne. We get some new knowledge on Sylus’s first arrival on earth! And god it’s heartbreaking imagining him all alone.

Some people are miffed that none of this was “real” wedding shenanigans but I found it all very endearing (the event story is amazing too. Skye the fruit vender is my favorite running joke). I don’t think it’s popular much anymore to my knowledge, but promise rings are still significant imo. My mom received one from my dad long ago when they were dating so maybe I’m sentimental about it.

The premise can feel silly, like why would Sylus just happen to have a wedding dress to bring to the chapel for us to wear- other than the fact that his overthinking/over-planning is a notable characteristic for him.

One other thing that keeps kinda showing up is how private Sylus is when it comes to these intimate moments and memories. He doesn’t want them to be witnessed by anyone else but you and him. I just think it’s a sweet trait. He’s greedy and for these moments to be only his (and yours). They only exist for us.

I need to point out though that my absolute favorite line from the card is his one about “doomsday and all that jazz”. It just made me grin like such a goober because I unironically use the “and all that jazz” phrase all the time in my normal vernacular.

My thoughts are disorganized, but I’m thankful the heartbreak was at a minimum. I was ready to be assaulted with sadness LOL

For anyone who didn't like the card I think I've gotta apologize that the writers are once again pandering directly to me. 😅 I'm also loving the event content (Skye is also my fave running joke, omg when he showed up I was cackling). I've got the itch to write a little extended memory weaving that in with the card, as I do 🥹 but need all the event chapters first!

Of all the characters to "randomly" pick a white dress without telling you, for a romantic farewell to an important place from your shared past, with the intention of speaking a heartfelt vow but not pressuring you to define the exact current status of the relationship--Sylus is that character. He is soooo that character. He's a down bad simp of a loverboy and a hopeless romantic.

Also I loooveee the dress. I was so glad they gave Sylus a nontraditional option! it's sooo him and his MC. (and I personally love a hi/lo hem) Plus the feathers are a HUGE motif for them. She's!! the dove!! to his crow!! white featherssss!!! And I love the angel vibes as well. It's def giving angel x demon, regardless of where they go with the other myths and stuff I do think that's intentional.

For the rings, I was also reading that exchanging rings is more common in CN culture! (and potentially elsewhere, I didn't fully go down the research rabbit hole.) I tend to associate promise rings with a heavy purity/christian connotation (ugh, don't get me started) but from what I was reading it's a much more like a "hey we're going steady" thing in CN and I love that.

I think that's an interesting note about Sylus being more private with this stuff, and I wonder if the commentary comes from different preferences/expectations around private vs public engagement. Public engagements/declarations add sooo much pressure to say "yes" immediately b/c so many people are watching--and Sylus would never put that pressure on MC. Now, if she accepts privately and then gives him a hard time about it not being a bigger affair, he'd quickly reveal he's got the year's most expensive party planned and news crews from around the world on-call.

But ofc those heartfelt confessions are going to be private first so she can react honestly. And also 'cause it's vulnerable and he's a soft lil bean on the inside 🥺

And if she's comfortable, Sylus would love nothing more than to show MC off to all the world. But the moment when he says what happens there will be their secret to share 🥹 so good.

"and all that jazz" also absolutely tickled me, it was delivered so perfectly by his VA and it's so him to be just a little bit of a nerd that way but make it so hot 🤣

My favorite moment was MC resonating with him to bring all the daturas to life, though 💕 And I love that they hinted towards that in the spring event so it didn't feel random! I'm sure that was intentional.

Their kiss at the end was sooooo delicious, and I love to see MC-initiated kisses like in today's event story chapter 🥹

And what she says of the next day, like "Oh the world didn't end after all", gives this tone of sort of existential angst and urgency to their time in the chapel--like, even if MC doesn't explicitly remember it's still this emotion of "it's me and you against the world and what if the world ends" and ooooomg I'm going to have so much fun writing through that angst (uh and that smut because fvck-like-you're-gonna die just hits different)

So far I've only also seen Zayne's, I need to watch the other boys on YT soon! Zayne's also made me so happy 🥹 All the jasmines blooming... ❤️‍🩹

LADS react to your failed homemade chocolate for them! Happy Val's Day!

It's Valentine's day! So you decided to make them a homemade chocolate or other baked goods for your beloved.. but no matter how hard you try, turns out making a chocolate is not easy... how would they react to it?

Sylus, Xavier, Rafayel, Zayne, Caleb

Sylus

His trademark raised eyebrow is on full display right now seeing his kitchen a big mess and you covered in flour, chocolates, and.. are those strawberry jams? He hopes so.

Mephisto is EXHAUSTED because you used him all day to look up for tutorials and recipes and every single one he had to witness yet another fail.

"This tastes... different than the ones I would usually buy." "Just say you hate it!!!" "Hate it? No no no. This is.. amazing! What do you mean it's burnt? It's so good! So so so good!"

Xavier

Eats it with no problem at ALL. Doesn't even bat an eye.

"So.. what do you think?" "It's good." "But.. it's all.. burnt.." "Oh yeah, they taste like the ones I made." "Sorry?" "Yeah you should try the ones I gave you. They taste almost the same yet yours have more sweetness."

You. Were. Scared. To. Try. His. But your beloved worked so hard on it! So why not try it!? Another trip to the ER would be worth it if it's for your beloved!!

Rafayel

TEARED. UP.

"Do you hate me?" "What?" "You hate me and you want me to die. So you decide to poison me?!" "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?" "I CAN UNDERSTAND THE BETRAYAL. BUT DOING IT ON VALENTINE'S DAY?" "OK YOU UNGRATEFUL LITTLE BRAT-"

You end up having to share HIS homemade beautifully designed chocolate with him because he's not gonna eat your batch...

Zayne

He was really silent.

"So? How is it? I know it's a bit burnt but-" "It's okay. It's.. good." "Zayne, you don't have to lie.." "Why would I lie to you? I love these. I'm gonna cherish these and put it somewhere out of anyone's reach for their own safety- I mean, so I can look at it when I miss you."

He took you to a chocolate making class the next day. You know he likes his sweets DIABETIC.

Caleb

This man ate your wasabi sandwich without batting an eye. You think a little burnt dessert is gonna stop him?

"Caleb I know it's bad you don't have to keep eating it-" "What are you saying! It's not bad! Plus it's good, I need to train my stomach. It's been awhile since I ate your homemade food! Is there any left?" "CALEB STOP EATING IT PLEASE"

You had to pry his hands off of the baked goods because he would Not stop. Puppy wants to appreciate your effort!!! Okay!!! 😭🥺 He gives you his own batch and they're sooooooooooo good you almost didn't believe it's homemade, but it's Caleb, so of course he's annoyingly good at everything he does. 🙄

Them reacting to a "Deez Nuts" joke. I'm so sorry.

I'M SO SORRY I JUST NEED TO DO THIS FOR MYSELF. How would they react to a deeznuts joke? Would they laugh, cringe, or shake their head?

Got deeznuts-ed by the twins before. Trust me. I know.

"Sylus! I like dragon." "Oh, do you now?" "Draggon deez nuts all over you!!!" "You too..? Did the twins teach this to you?"

Felt BETRAYED. He trusted you.

Xavier

Doesn't realize. It literally flew over his head.

"Have you heard about the news in Kenya today?" "No, tell me more." "Well, Kenya fit deez nuts in your mouth." "Can I fit what in my mouth..?"

You end up having to explain the joke to him, it became a whole lecture. He eventually found it funny and you guys try to get back at each other for the rest of the day.

Rafayel

Too late. You can't get him. Nope.

"Fishie, do you know Candece?" "Can deeznuts fit in your mouth?" "DAMN IT!"

You end up being the one who gets "deeznuts" jokes for a whole week until you literally waved a white flag asking for mercy.

Zayne

You were both sitting on the sofa doing your own thing and you suddenly remember the joke your co-worker told you.

"Dr. Zayne, do you like puddin'?" "Yes, especially-" "Puddin deez nuts in your mouth! HAHAH-" "...."

He SIGHED but deep down he found it a little amusing. He did it to Greyson the next day. Greyson was so shocked though.

Caleb

He's the one who taught you the jokes.

You tried to get back at him many times ever since you were both little, he Never fell for it. You won't catch him slipping. Ever.

"Aren't you tired, MC? You should give up." Oh but you won't. You'll get him someday. You swear on it.
