Outlander (if you don't watch it, then any other show of your choice)
Thank you for asking! Sorry, I haven’t watched the show save the pilot (though I think I read the first book years ago). It looks like an incredibly pretty show and with a great female lead.
Instead, I’ll just talk about Leverage because it’s my obsession of the moment and I have no shame.
Top 5 favourite characters: The team
Other characters you like: Maggie, Tara, Amy, Mikel, Zachary, Victor Dubenich, Sterling…
Least favourite character: Chaos? Even Chaos I love disliking.
Otps: ot5, Nate/Sophie, Parker/Hardison/Eliot, Sophie/Tara
Notps: Parker/Eliot without Hardison
Favourite friendship: Parker & Sophie, Sophie & Eliot, Parker and Eliot, Hardison and Sophie, oh, forget it, the ot5 all the way
Favourite family: the team
Favourite episode: “The Rashomon Job”
Favourite season/book/movie: I have a huge bias for series three because of the international scope, the Moreau arc and the interactions between the characters. They felt very much like a family and the romance aspect was less present. Maybe it’s because I was just so happy to have them back together.
Favourite quote: “We change together”
Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest: the Who references are always a win-win, but the very last shot of the show is impossible to beat.
When it really disappointed you: Never. Leverage doesn’t do disappointment.
Saddest moment: Parker or Sophie being upset is usually really upsetting.
Most well done character death: the team’s, hand in hand, covered in blood, together, as it should be.
Favourite guest star: Noa Tishby; why couldn’t you be the emergency hitter?
Favourite cast member: Beth Riesgraf
Character you wish was still alive: Victor Dubenich? I loved this bastard.
One thing you hope really happens: a TV movie
Most shocking twist: I did not expect Sophie’s revelation in “The First David Job”
When did you start watching/reading: Late September.
Trope you wish they would stop using: None. This show brilliantly uses tropes.
One thing this show/book/film does better than others: Tropes. Character and relationship development. Fanservice. Competence porn. Pick any.
Funniest moments: It’s very hard to choose. Because anytime I want to pick any of Parker’s wacky moments, I’m reminded of Eliot’s anger, or Sophie’s general princessness, or Hardison’s indignation, or Nate’s over-playing. I love them. Leverage wouldn’t have to change much to be a pretty good comedy show. Sophie’s changing accent in “The Rashomon Job” is a classic.
Couple you would like to see: Sophie/Tara? Sophie/Eliot? Practically sure those happened in the past. Shhh. Remember yachts? Remember Ban Houzai?
Actor/Actress you want to join the cast: Lana Parilla? Lucy Liu? So many people.
Most boring plotline: none? They all were done pretty well. Last series arc could have been tighter, but character-wise it was excellent.
Best flashback/flashfoward if any: Sophie and Nate claiming shooting each other in Paris.
Most layered character: Sophie. Literally.
Scariest moment: The first cut from Nate’s story to the detention room in “The Long-Goodbye Job”. How did your friends die? Oh boy. That was cold.
Grossest moment: None I can think of.
Best looking male: Hardison
Best looking female: Sophie
Who you’re crushing on (if any): Parker
Most beautiful scene (scenery/shot wise): the iconic crane shots in series 1 and in “The Long-Goodbye Job”.
Unanswered question/continuity issue/plot error that bugs you: Is Sophie a princess?! Seriously. And the fact the team didn’t start using Sophie’s real name after they learnt about Nate and Sophie or at least question his using the wrong name.
At what point did you fall in love with this show/book: The first episode. I knew immediately I was going to love it.
