Online, she’s LadyConstellation, the anonymous creator of a wildly popular WebComic Monstrous Sea. She’s desperately wants to finish high school and get to college. It has to be better, right? Then Wallace transfers to her school. He’s the biggest fanfiction writer of Monstrous Sea. As he draws Eliza out of her shell, she begins to think that life offline might be okay. But when her secret is accidentally shared with the world, everything she’s built begins to fall apart.” Why did l wait so long to read this book? We all knew people like Eliza and Wallace. I am way past the age of the YA demographic but I love a good story and characters. Anyone that was even a borderline nerd would recognize what’s going on in Eliza’s head. And Wallace’s desire to do the thing that brings him joy. I had a few great friends in high school and still talk to many of them. But overall, high school was not a fun time for me. What’s great about this story is seeing that you’re not alone in the struggles you had. Going to be one of my favorite reads this year. Great story from Zappia.
