Can't explain why, but posting to Ao3 is so much more stressful than posting to tumblr.

The Queen of White Lies by The Orion Experience is such a Jurdan song and I can't get over it
I mean, come on
You know I love the punishment
So girl keep telling me
La-la-la lies
You're the Queen of White Lies
Yeah tell me that you love me
La-la-la lies
Look deep into my eyes
La-la-la lies
Say there's no one else above me
I'm the King of Fools, cause baby
You're the Queen of White Lies
Though I doubt anyone noticed, I haven’t been on here as much as I used to be and since I don’t like to leave anyone hanging without me notifying them, I wanted to do the same thing on here for anyone that cares. I am taking a little break from blogging, apart from the occasional spam of HL posts. Obviously I still love all those darn boys with my whole heart, I mean I don’t think I’ll ever stop, but I won’t be on here as much anymore for a while. Maybe I’ll be back to normal blogging in a week, a month or a year, but please bear with me while I sort my real life out. Or don’t, it’s a free world after all. Alright, that was all I wanted to say. Gbye. Thank. All that jazz.
Visiting in-laws in southern CA and having a beach day.
One thing they don't tell you about southern CA beaches is that there's tar. The regional geology is oil-bearing and some of it ends up on the beaches, either because it leaks out naturally or because it escapes offshore oil production.
So going walking barefoot on the beach is always a gamble that you'll run into a little blob of tar that sticks to your foot like superglue. Picks up all the sand and other bits you didn't even notice underfoot.
It's also really hard to get off. It doesn't play nice with water so it doesn't come off with a simple rinse. My husband's grandmother mentioned that mayonnaise is the best way to get it off. Makes sense, I think. Tar has a lot in common with oil so it jives with my understanding of chemistry that it'd dissolve tar a lot better than water.
So I grab a jar of mayo and, to be respectful of my grandmother-in-law's carpets and wood floors, I find an unoccupied bathroom and get to work on my feet.
Partway through this process, my teenage niece barges in without knocking. She sees me, sitting cross-legged on the toilet, sees the jar of mayo in one hand, and a spoon in the other.
We make direct eye contact.
She mumbles an apology and backs away, closing the door behind her.
Maybe now she'll knock first.
I just need, like, two more sentences to wrap this fic up but I am drawing a complete blank.
I ride off to battle. I know not when I shall return. Pray for my safety.
Playing through the Citadel DLC because I unexpectedly find myself home alone, and noticed a couple of things for the first time.
1. I use a buff femshep mod, but the clone doesn't copy it. As a result, Shepard towers over her supposedly identical clone.
2. Some of the Cat-6 mercenaries sounded awfully familiar so I looked it up and, sure enough, it's one of them nerdy-ass voice actors (Travis).
3. The clone fight as a vanguard is decidedly NOT fun when getting used to a new controller setup.
Trying to tumble dry a duvet cover is an exercise in non-Euclidean topology. Somehow it always finds a way to become an ourosboros, a duvet that devours itself.
