KJGFHJKFJDK for real, after dee day my main fear (especially w noir considering the decade it began) was that we'd get something offensive again, so the bar was on the floor. also the storyline kinda seemed meh but i didn't expect anything serious either as i would've expected of a noir film bc it's still a humor show in a way? idk they all looked hot so thats where my braincell's at
KJAJKSK;KJFKJKJF yeahhh i was rly relieved when nothing like...awful and tasteless happened. yeah the storyline/humor was bland i wish it would have committed more to moments of seriousness/humor but i agree honestly when i rewatch the ep itll just be bc its super sexy and dennis looks thirsty as a dying man in a desert
so i had no expectations whatsoever for this episode, but i feel in terms of a noir tone (aesthetics/visuals/shots) it was good? what i mean by this is that looking at it it has the noir elements, but the episode itself wasn't funny at all (at least to me), the jokes didn't land but i give it a pass because humor in noir is just almost nonexistent, and even in noir films when they've tried to add humor it just looks cringy in my opinion so idk. at least it wasn't offensive so thats a win for me

LITERALLY like the end of the episode HAS to show that the two of them are ridiculously dependent on each other already........ dennis literally gets jealous when mac pretends to sleep with people, cries when he isn't around to peel his apples and needs to be carried by him after getting thwacked in the arm a little.....
