I just can’t see Sheepstealer and Rhaena matching each other. I’ve always seen dragons as complimentary to their riders, both in personality, appearance and overall vibe. That’s why I think Vhagar wouldn’t accept Rhaena as a rider, if she tried to claim her - they just don’t match each other very well. Morning was made for Rhaena, feminine and also strong, easy to underestimate and yet a surprising force to be reckoned with, just like Sheepstealer was made for Neetles, a scrappy, and resourceful commoner.

there is nothing i would love more than to see nettles and sheepstealer together on screen. i agree with you that in terms of vibe, the two match each other very well and i feel like it makes the bond between them seem more believable to the viewer. plus, for me, i feel like it kind of detracts from Rhaena hatching Morning if she's already had a dragon previously, y'know? idk how to fully explain it, but whatever.
overall, i still love the design for sheepstealer. I would love to see more funky looking dragons! (also wish we would've seen more than those random clips of rhaena dying in the vale lmao)
