also the problem is white people of all political leanings will see Kendrick’s performance (& other Black works & art like it), and find a way to insert themselves as being part of the “in group” with Black Americans or totally divorce it’s meaning/message from all cultural context to feel like they ARE like us. when the message, quite literally, is that you are not.

the white liberals already tryna “hip parent” they way in and it’s blowing me. the same ppl who cant turn up in they own antiblack communities or they family members bc when push come to shove, white people always will put themselves and their goals first. from the micro to the macro levels. 🙄

Here's the dumbest spam/scam you'll see today: Someone pretending to be 'The Rock', pretending to be the Secretary of the Treasury via an Outlook email address rather than a Treasury Department .gov, reaching out to people via Tumblr to ask for their financial details... and signing off as someone who doesn't have this job anymore (Secretary Yellen was replaced by Scott Bessent after Trump took office in January).
