Alec *looks at Magnus*: We were just checking the perimeter!
Izzy: .... mhmmmm, sure
Helen *looks at Aline*: We we're doing... research!
Izzy: ... that's even worse than 'checking the perimeter'!

I struggled, I failed, but no! Never have I ever found my excuses. All what I found was wisdom to learn.
Excuses from co-workers
In view of the lame excuses I have heard from co-workers recently, I have decided to keep an ongoing list of these to commemorate the lameness:
1. I can’t attend a work call because my child needs to use the office-issued computer for a Zoom class. (Even though co-worker’s child usually uses her personal iPad).
2. I didn’t know I had to notify my manager that I intend to take sick leave and not show up for work on a particular day. This wasn’t in my KPIs. (After repeatedly going missing in action and citing minor ailments. Specifically stated in the Employee Handbook).
3. I was feeling emotional because my mother didn’t want to make a doctor’s appointment. (After being confronted for hardly doing any work without any communication for a week).
4. Oh! You mean I have to attend team meetings? But this isn’t a specific KPI.
5. We are in a pandemic and I am too emotional to be productive (for 2 years, while happily attending every department wine-down session).
6. I didn’t realise that I should introduce myself to the new boss. (Remote worker, when it was suggested to him that he should introduce himself to the new boss after she joined the organisation for a month).
7. I’m feeling demotivated because we couldn’t hire a replacement headcount for the team. (Same excuse for 3 years, when asked why very little work was done).

The 18th of Febuary
It was another nice day. I did laundry and went on another long walk with my babies. I was really close to making a video. Unfortunately, I didn't have the greatest motivation today. I keep making lame excuses like: oh, i don't have any good lighting; oh, i don't have the best camera; oh, i don't have a video editing application; oh, i just ate... (lol, i make the lamest excuses...) I'll keep pushing forward and little by little I'll make it happen!
. Mari belajar tegas pada diri sendiri. Sebab Roh itu penurut namun daging itu lemah. Jadi jangan sampai kalah dengan alasan ☺ . Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. Student vs Teacher
On the first day of class my teacher said anyone that had their phone out in class while he was teaching was going to get kicked out. Im assuming one of my classmates thought he was kidding and didn't take him seriously. Well as you can guess, he was kicked out and yelled at my teacher saying “he didn't know who he was talking to”. First of all, Im pretty f***ing sure he knew who he was talking to he's your teacher. Second, don't disrespect him like that he said a thousand times no phones and your dumbass still felt the need to text your “mom” or whatever excuse you gave him. Learn to keep your phone at home or at least out of plain sight. There are too many people who I see that can't live without a smartphone. Get a hobby and get better excuses to tell your teacher.
