It’s an au where instead of destroying the Stygian Tiger Seal when the sects kill all the Wen Remnants, Wei Ying packs up what he can and sends a letter to Lan Zhan with a plea that he takes care of A-Yuan, and a confession of the love he’s always felt for him.
Wei Ying leaves the burial mounds and sets out for a destination unknown, telling no one of his plans, leaving his old life behind and finding an unlikely family in a small village in a far away forest.
The whole cultivation world thinks him dead. Until one day Lan Zhan and a few of the deciplels pass through the small village on their way to complete a mission.
