Allura, my beloved.

Not Lance, lol, but I just love drawing Allura in fancy dresses. Her colour palette is so so so satisfying to work with, especially when you can pull the values around and still get that base that says ‘Allura”, you know? I used heavy inspiration from latin ballroom dresses for this, and I wasn’t gonna do flowers, but then it felt empty (cause I didn’t want to draw her crown) so I had to do flowers.

Lance was so lucky T^T

I’m really heckin excited for this set, especially when I add Keith bc these 3 are my dance trio :D these are WIP pieces, and will most likely be deleted when I get around to finishing them. therefore, if I could kindly ask you not to repost, that would be wonderful.

A.N. Well if this isn’t a hot mess. I missed my bedtime by about… 4 hrs. Sigh. Sorry for any delays if you had a bad day! For those who don’t know I’m on Japan time and I got a full-time job. So it takes a while for these longer ones.

I realize the ‘dancing’ might be hard to see so I’ll put up another version on my main art blog.

I had this idea that there was some sort of ball/party/celebration that the team had to go to and Allura, being the leader, was offered to lead the first dance. Nervous to choose a paladin, Lance steps up, winks with a “trust me”, and off they go. Can be Allurance but doesn’t have to be. All I know is Jeremy Shada said Lance can dance so… WIP here y’a go.

Aaaaaand here’s the Lance ballroom attire! For fancy events, Allura had each of the paladins pick an Altean royal advisory uniform to wear, as they “must look somewhat presentable.” There was no way Lance would ever skip out on the sparkling cape ;)
