Tumblr is not a normal algorithmed app and so its a little bit tougher, sometimes posts hit just right. But at least ur stuff is out there. Traction shouldn’t matter to the creative mind as long as it keeps producing. You shouldn’t write or post stuff for likes. Not trying to be rude or anything this is just my opinion as an artist myself :) I will read ur stuff and encourage u <3

I wrote the last chapter of TSNF in like 3 days and got a few hundred words deep into two other chapters because my posts about those ideas or the WIPs I posted got a lot of engagement. It was really motivating. I would have written those at some point anyway because they were ideas I want to explore but I probably wouldn't have so written much of them so quickly if they weren't for the interaction.

Numbers shouldn't matter but they are still encouraging. I don't think I'm strong enough to put a work out in the open only for people to not see it. I can recognize that my thoughts aren't healthy, I'm in a bit of a spiral and the real answer is probably "take a break from tumblr", but I haven't found a distraction just yet.
