those six are incredibly protective of you! not only do they know how dangerous it is to date them, thanks to them being the most wanted people in aionios, but compared to them, you're so much weaker and they want to keep you safe!

especially sena and lanz act as your personal bodyguards! not only are they the first to throw themselves into danger to safe you, but those two will also use their strength to carry you around or use you as weight for their training!

but they're not the only ones with special skills! noah and mio are both excellent flute players and love to use that talent outside of battle, to entertain you or simply help you relax with some music

and eunie and taion are the fun ones out of the group! eunie is always flirting with you and teasing taion and you, managing to get out a different side of taion as well! when you're all together, both of them seem so much more affectionate…

you mostly spend time with either one ouroboros duo at a time or individuals! you all recognize that some alone time is necessary for a relationship, even if you all love each other!

especially during your time in the city do all of you get to go on more dates! it's one of the few places where you can all relax and feel normal for once…

you've all talked about the possibility of moving to the city in the future! but realistically, all of you know your lifespans are too short for it. still, it's a dream you would do anything for to see come true…

lanz probably takes the news the best, while everyone else kinda goes into a panicking and flustered state for a while–

romantic feelings as a whole are new to them, but for someone that some of them had been friends with for so long? a change like that isn't easy to accept–

none of the six ouroboros even consider turning this into a rivalry between them! as far as they are concerned, they're all happy to just keep you as a friend for now, while they figure out what their feelings mean

there's a lot of them just helping each other out, talking about their feelings with each other, to better understand them

especially the three girls, as well as the three boys, help each other out! only now that they're in love with you do they realize the differences between each other and so the girls begin to confide more in each other, while the boys do the same

ultimately, none of the six ouroboros want to make any grand moves that could ruin their friendship with you or each other! they've managed to stay friends with you for so long, so why risk it?

unless you end up making a move on one – or multiple – of them first, they'll likely accept being simply a friend of yours…

summary: lanz finds you sitting alone by yourself, crying, and is determined to help you cheer up and offer you comfort!

“alright, who do i have to beat up?”

you were quietly crying outside of the colony, hands wrapped around your knees and head resting on your knees, when lanz's voice made you jump. the tall boy approached you with a goofy grin, trying to act cheerful for your sake.

“nobody…” you mumbled quietly, awkwardly glancing away, before hiding your face behind your hands again and mumbling out a quiet, “just leave me alone, alright?”

“hey, c'mon…!” lanz huffed softly, clearly unsure how to handle this situation. he couldn't cheer you up with jokes, but he wasn't great at being serious and talking about stuff like feelings either. “i'm not leaving you alone. not now, not ever.”

despite having been told to leave, lanz took a seat next to you, staring off into the distance, as he waits for you to say something. but when that doesn't happen, he sighs softly, trying to do the right thing and lead the conversation.

“i can't just let you sit here and cry by yourself, you know? if you won't tell me what happened, i'll have to ask around. and i don't think you'd like that either…”

after another moment of silence, you slowly raised your head. you didn't want anyone else to find out about this, but you knew lanz likely meant what he said. he was blunt, but in this case, he got what he wanted; you slowly began to open up.

“garvel… said some things to me.” you hesitantly revealed. though that alone wasn't enough for lanz to hear. he stared at you, clearly expecting you to say more. and so you did. “he… said i'll never make it to my homecoming. that i'll just end up dead before that and that it's a surprise i even made it as far as i did…”

you had expected lanz to either tell you to toughen up or get up, ready to beat some sense into garvel. but instead, he sat there quietly, pondering over what you said.

“is he always like this to you…?”

you didn't reply, but your silence was answer enough for lanz. he quietly balled his hands into fists, trying to suppress his anger.

“don't listen to him.” lanz softly nudged your side. “you've made it so far already! sure, you've started off weaker than all of us, but you're still here, aren't you? that means you've grown more than anyone–!”

you quietly let his words sink in, reflecting on what lanz said. but that silence only made the boy feel awkward and soon he felt the need to add something, to escape this silence.

“i think you're pretty great anyways, alright? so who cares what garvel says! don't listen to him anymore, just listen to what i say! and i say you're great!”

you chuckled softly, wiping away the last of your tears, before turning towards lanz, with a smile on your lips.

“thank you. your words really mean a lot to me…”

a small blush hushed over lanz's cheeks, before he quickly jumped up and looked away.

“yeah yeah, i'm great with words and all.” he brushed it off and grinned. “now, let's head back to the colony, alright? it's getting late…”

lanz might be strong and able to protect you, but that only lasts for so long too! after all, noah has the lucky seven and as he gets better with it, he gets better at keeping you safe as well…

neither of them really take you out on official dates, but every time you spend alone with them practically counts as a date!

and for those, noah loves to take you to some scenic places and play the flute for you, while the two of you talk about whatever is on your mind, while lanz prefers to hang out in the city with you, taking you out to eat dinner or explore the place!

a/n: before xc3 launched, i was CONVINCED i'd end up shipping eunie and lanz! i'm more of a eunie x taion & lanz x sena person now, but let me still write for those two hehe

neither eunie nor lanz really thought they'd be the type to be interested in a relationship, but if they were to date anyone, they wanted it to be you!

during their time in the city, they slowly warmed up to the idea of a relationship and since they were childhood friends, they confessed to each other first how they felt about you!

both were hesitant to confess to you, but it was eunie who eventually dragged lanz along and forced the boy to confess to you, alongside her!

switching from a friendship to a relationship was odd at first, as neither eunie nor lanz knew how to act now

things seemed to be the same at first and they wondered what the big difference between a friend and a lover even was!

but slowly, the two of them tried out more romantic things. holding hands with you, making you gifts and such

both felt almost equally embarrassed about it at first, but eunie slowly began to warm up to it!

eunie enjoyed the physical affection more, while lanz was more a fan of spending quality time with you!

lanz is honestly glad that eunie is more physically affectionate than him, as he fears he might not be able to give you as much affection as you desire

at first, the three of you stick together for dates, but after some time passes and their tastes becomes more individual, you only go on dates with one of them at a time

lanz usually likes dates out in nature, exploring aionios or training together! meanwhile eunie prefers calm and romantic dates in the city, like eating dinner together or relaxing at the park!
