Oh my goodness I adored the new LAOFT fic (Dean my absolute beloved—Fully adorable, Plus that lovely caring husbands Remile is just so wonderful)

I’m not sure if asks are open for LAOFT (if not please feel free to ignore) but I was wondering if you could tell us a little more about Dean? Like what he looks like, how he got into the foster system (if you are comfortable with that), how he is going to decorate his room (unless that’s a spoiler), or just anything else that comes to mind.

I just really love how you write Dean and I didn’t see a lot of asks for him, so I thought I’d submit one!

Dean is black, chubby, 4c black hair and very dark eyes, with unfairly long eyelashes that make him look like a little angel and give him the sweetest most irresistible puppy eyes

I don't have a particular reason for Dean to be in foster care atm, i've been bouncing around a few ideas but none of them really vibe. tbd!

Dean loves fantasy literature (hence his enthusiastic delight at being adopted by guys who live in an enchanted forest) so im honestly thinking like a tolkien/hobbit hole vibe, helped along by the presence of a magic uncle who loves spoiling humans

You said all the future Sanders we’ve met have had Logan as their ‘fairy godparent’. Does Linda ever wind up giving out Gifts and being a godparent? Does Virgil give any of their other friends’ kids Gifts, like Elliot or Kai, or has he only been Trudi’s godparent? From some of the extras it seems like Remy and Bell get close so does she give out any Gifts to those ‘hell on wheels or sweet as sugar no in between’ kids?

I haven’t actually decided if Elliot has children or not, or if they do who those children might be, but if they do, those kids do get godparent gifts from Virgil

As for Bell giving gifts to the Adams-Picani kids, that is a take i had not considered but absolutely LOVE so expect Dean to turn up with one in the near future alskjakl

Ok I read the new oneshot (loved it!) and I GOTTA know... Who gave them the alcohol? Remus or Dean?

Dean! Remus is actually... relatively (and i do mean relatively) responsible when it comes to Linda, and probably would have walked them home, or at least followed them home

granted, he may have gotten distracted and/or dragged them into another shenanigan entirely when he did, but like. He’s Trying okay, you can only expect so much from him lakjdkj

Dean, however, grew up with Husband Squad for pseudo-uncles and figures if any kid on earth can take care of herself, drunk or not, it’s Linda, and Percy and Brian are fae and fae-blessed respectively.

He’s pretty sure they’ll live through one drunk walk through the woods (and honestly he’s not really wrong)

So I was rereading some of the Oneshots, and I forgot about Dean!! The Remile child!! Is he based if anyone, or an oc? Also, how did Remile go about getting him?

Dean is based on the Sanders Shorts character of Denial! i saw the sunglasses and the “finger guns to avoid talking about my problems” vibes and was like. Oh yes. This is DEFINITELY the remile child.

I admittedly havent done a ton of research about adoption (yet - i have prompts about Remile adopting Dean, so it is coming) bu i do know theres going to be some stumbling blocks involved

namely, the fact that the vast majority of the surrounding area is fairly certain the town of Wickhills is the home base of some kind of cult, and (possibly) the fact that Remy has something of a criminal record

i say possibly on that second thing because i haven’t decided if that stuffs confined to when he was a minor (and therefore is sealed) or not

and also by the time they adopt Dean Emile is like. An Actual Doctor (i think. i’m not super how long that takes. its about ten years post-main story so if he isn’t he’s well on his way to it) so honestly that might make up for it anyway??? like i said - havent done the adoption research yet. feel free to chime in!
