Shang and Mulan (I WANNA HEAR A STORY PLEASE), Woody and Bo Peep, Kovu and Kiara for Izaya @goldenworldsabound

Shang and Mulan - Izaya probably proves to be the more protective one. He wants Larkin in his business, but doesn’t want her rubbing elbows with anyone like the Awakusu or Shizuo. So if she gets close to interacting with either one, he might gently nudge her away or steer her clear in the other direction. More directly so, though, is Larkin will often get harassed by assholes when she’s doing research, specifically interviews. You know, the pompous members who think they’re affiliation with the Dollars can get them anything they want might make a comment towards her, about her outfit or “her pretty little face”. Izaya gets surprisingly annoyed, and one time got into a knife fight with one of these guys. He disarmed the thug quickly, pointed the tip of the knife right at his Adam’s apple, and said, “You shouldn’t go around talking to women like that. Especially if she’s out with someone like me.” Larkin literally had to jerk Izaya away, but… she was appreciative.

Woody and Bopeep - Izaya has no issues in the slightest being affectionate once Larkin and him are more established with each other. He’ll hang and hug on her and pout at her cutely in front of others, often asking, “Why won’t you hold my hand, Larkiiin-Chaaan~?” He does it specifically to embarrass Larkin, who absolutely has issues with PDA.

Kovu and Kiara - Has any one tried to get between Larkin and Izaya? The only two that come to mind might be Celty and Shizuo, mostly out of concern. Celty wouldn't do anything direct to break them up, but mostly at Shinra's word, since he would probably notice the little cues in Izaya's behavior that would indicate he feels differently for Larkin than he has for women before. Celty doesn't trust Izaya for a second about the couple until way later... Shizuo would probably just do his usual angry attack while Izaya is with Larkin, but if he ever encounters her alone, he'll talk. He'll be very vocal about how much he believes Izaya is a scumbag and suggest that she just stay away from him, probably getting real heated. But in the end he'll come down, tell her, "It's your choice, and I doesn't hate you for dating him, but... just do the right thing, alright?"

Bonus: Yakuza Wendy would probably beat the shit out of Izaya if Larkin ever told her he did something really shitty. So yeah she would get between them if he was an ass.

31 - Wrist 

Larkin hung up the last bit of garland and beamed with pride. “Are you done making a mess of the office?” Namie sighed as Larkin climbed down the ladder. “You mean making the office festive?” she countered with a smile. “If you call your shoddy decorating ‘festive’, then sure.”“Oh pshaw. Just wait until Izaya sees…”“Tell me how that goes…” Namie replied, packing up her things. “I’ll laugh when I come back to see everything cleared out by morning.” She picked up her briefcase and went out the door. “She just doesn’t know how to have fun…” Larkin sat on the couch and waited for a minute… then an hour… then a few.

Izaya came in at 1 AM to a surprise. His whole office was done up in twinkling lights, pine, sparkling holiday decorations… and a passed out detective on his couch. His heart warmed a bit despite the cold outside.“You seem to have outdone yourself, Larkin-Chan~” He came over and took her hand, lifting it and letting his lips brush softly against her wrist. She stirred slightly. “Nggnhh.. what… time is it…”“Late~ This was nice to come home to though.” “Do you… like it?”“……… Yeah. I think I really do.” Larkin chuckled sleepily. “Take that, Yagiri.” Izaya laughed. “You can explain that tomorrow. Come on.”He helped her off the couch and escorted her to his room, tucking her in. “Goodnight Larkin-Chan.”

Kiss on a scar/wound with Izaya 👀

Larkin buzzed the doorbell and tapped her foot impatiently. She had been waiting for ten minutes now. "Izaya..." she grumbled as she checked her phone. What the hell was he doing in there? Was he even here?

Shes was about to text him when the door swung open. Larkin looked up, about to make a comment, but she stopped short.

Izaya smiled down on her. "What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" He patted the towel on his neck.

Izaya was standing in the door way, shirtless and dripping wet. At least he had put his trousers on but Larkin couldn't help but stare. He was a bit more built than she had expected, muscular in that lean way runners typically are. She guesses he must of built some muscle running from Shizuo all the time.

"Um. I c-can leave. You obviously... aren't ready. For a meeting," she manages to get out. Izaya tsked.

"Nonsense. We've been dating for a bit. You were gonna see me like this eventually~" he said with a little smirk. "Come on in." He led her inside and closed the door. Larkin cleared her throat uncomfortable as she sat on the couch.

"You must be a conservative woman, you're sitting still as a statue."

"I just wasn't expecting... t-this."

"Ah you're so cute~"

Izaya sat next to her.

"Aren't you gonna..."

"I'm comfortable. No need." The smirk got wider. Larkin sighed a bit.

"O-kay, well-" she stopped as she noticed something she hadn't seen before.

"Is that a scar...?" Her eyes focused on a thin discolored spot on his lower abdomen, a bit to the side and just above his waist line.

"Oh yeah. I got stabbed," Izaya said distastefully.

"Wha- when!?"

"A while back. No one even came to the hospital."

Larkin felt a twinge on her heartstrings. Izaya usually played it off or denied it but... he suffered quite a bit from loneliness.

She reached out her hand and ran a thumb across the scar. Izaya shivered a bit and his cheeks went pink.

"Larkin. Meeting. Remember?"

Larkin looked him in the eye. "Oh but..." she exchanged a devious smirk of her own. "It looks like it still hurts a bit."

"Its half a year old, of course it doesn't-"

Larkin was already leaning down. Izaya let out a little surprised noise as she pressed her lips on the scar. She came back up quickly.

"A kiss always makes my cuts and bruises better~" she chimed.

Izaya, for once in his life, felt flustered. "I-I... i'm.... thanks."

"That's what you get for not wearing a shirt~"

"I'll get you back..."

Larkin laughed. "I'm hoping so."

Did you know that I was a poet once? Don’t laugh, I’m being serious. Before I learned how much more interesting it was to watch the humans I adore so much, I wanted to give them gifts. I wrote you this poem not because you’re human though. I wrote it as your lover. Anyways, here it is: The High Priestess comes in many forms. A card. A girl. You may speak at my alter but it is only to her that I will listen to. God only prays for one person and all she does is listen. And understand. -Izaya

Izaya... Your words are always intriguing, and the poem is rather moving. I had no idea you felt this way about me and, well, I'm touched by the honesty. Perhaps we can talk about poetry sometime, over coffee. It'd be a nice break from business - Larkin

(Out of character real quick, wtf this is a dope ass poem??? Like I'm floored? Holy heck that's in character for him I think and just really cool? With the tarot cards and lofty viewpoint of God and hot diggity damn that's my shit.)
