Working on my Witcher Nilfgaard Sorceress again. I guess representing magic in Larp is one of the most difficult things. That's why I respite playing a mage for so long and also respite to work on my sorceress again. But I finally figure out how I can use some stuff safely and easily with my costume. Always starting by zero and figure out what work with your costume and embodiment isn' t that easy. But I am pretty happy with the result.

Magic Wixard Staff, the name says it all. It's a Kickstarter for EPIC mage staff's that actually do wizardy stuff. Like sprout fire or fog.

We really love the Fog Staff, as sean above, with a glowing orb and smoke.

If you are interested the kickstarter are running now and have only 17 days to go. If you think the project looks cool and want it to succeed, but you can't donate, then share the project in your local LARP group.

The staffs are made for LARP, and while maybe a staff that makes real fire might not be the smartes thing in all LARPs, one can't deny that the effect look incredible.

QuickTip no 42 - Rope, Runes and Rituals

So her are some good advice to use for mage's and scholars. Using different alphabets, maybe supply it with a some strange lingo from a different language (Latin or Gaelic are to good places to start). Incorporate it into you casting and rituals. Then when making these rituals a good advice is to use a rope/string or your wizard-staff to measure out for a round circle.
