Ok adult au travis comes home to the brothers (Sal and Larry) with a black eye just like highschool, idk he could have gotten mugged or smt, and instead of doing anything reasonable he tries locking himself in a room until it goes away
Sal is talking Travis into telling them what happened and Larry is a Gizmo away from breaking the door down and grabbing his baby. They know not to test Travis when he starts hiding quietly. Nothing good ever comes from that. In fact that's most fights between Larry and Travis. But this is serious and they need to know if someone is hurting Travis again. Especially if he works in a toxic environment. Be it, homophobic or jealousy. Sal usually can get the story out of Travis when they were just rude but physical violence is a straight route to Travis shutting down again. Larry, the myth the legend himself, after calming down (which is never a good sign) takes a nice little trip to Travis' job and gets the answer out of one of his lovely coworkers. Lucky for him Travis has many concerned coworkers after his manager smacked him around a bit for a mistake the manager made. Of course, Larry would love to drag the manager out and beat him up in the parking lot, he can't Travis would never talk to him again if he did. He needs their movie nights or his weeks will have no meaning!! By the time he's back home, Sal has Travis laid on the couch with some frozen veggie bag sitting on the eye. They have talked it out and Travis tries to apologize but Larry shushes him with his finger. The brothers hate when he starts apologizing. They always tell him to stop doing that when he shuts down, it's not an intentional decision and honestly he needs his space or it could get worse. Larry does beat up the manager later though. He ha the nerve to complain to his friend that Travis either rejected his advances or was gay (whichever Idea you prefer for the drama) and had the misfortune of being near Larry and his biker friends. They took turns beating his ass.
