Catching up with old friends was something Tiberius enjoyed immensely. So many of his friends were spread around the world, but it had a tendency to be difficult with his schedule and then the holidays. The knock on the door caught his attention, and he left everything on the counter where he’d been making himself a cup of tea to go and answer the door. Seeing Aurelie there brought a large smile to his face.
“Well, I’ll say. What a Christmas if I get to see you!” He held the door open and gestured for her to come in, allowing her to enter his home before closing the door behind her again. “Did you want a cup of tea? I was just making some.”
Aurelie slipped an arm around Tiberius’ waist was she stepped in his door, giving him a little side hug. “If it’s a properly made English cup of tea how could I ever say no?” She let him go, slipping his gift into his hand. “Did you get enough time off work to go home to your mum, Ty?” She giggled just saying ‘mum’ loving how the term of endearment for a mother, something she didn’t have but was now “mor” and “mormy” to her multilingual children that frequently bounced between languages.
