I have reviewed existing galvanometer based laser scanning systems and came to a conclusion that they all suck, so I propose a fifth one, that does not require alignment and only needs wooden sticks and cotton string out of exotic components.

Important amend:

Though imagine it in series with a capacitor, but still in parallel with a resistor.
