The gum and bone surrounding those teeth were infected with bone loss and needed to be removed. After the teeth removal, I take the extraction curettage (cleaning) to another level. Using Fotona’s Erbium laser, the wavelength target very precisely the skin’s layers. In this case, layers of dead tissue called granulation tissue is removed. The laser removes layers of diseases tissue and accelerates the healing process along with coagulation (bleeding control). Whenever I have used the Fotona laser on my patients, they have never complained of post surgical pain!
