It has been a rather stressful twenty four hours, one trapped on the flight deck, the other? ❝  You can’t imagine what it’s been like cooped down here in the hull. ❞ As if on cue, the belly of the spaceship lurched  recklessly, nuts & bolts groaning under the pressure of constant movement. she stumbled, righting herself on the nearest hard surface, free hand clasping at one of the Doctor’s.  ❝ thankfully, it’s yielded a few answers. ❞  Missed you dear. It was getting terribly dull.

     “Must we always meet this way?” Lips curled into a knowing smile; the Doctor’d be a fool not to expect a little chaos when River called. It was part of her charm. “Just once I’d like to follow your coordinates to tea. Maybe a nice picnic in the Galactic Gardens.” And yet the Doctor grinned, eyes alive as they only ever were in the midst of a crisis. She gave River’s hand a squeeze. “I hope so, because I’m pretty sure that lurch was the ship getting caught in the gravitational pull of the nearest planet.” 

        As the craft tilted sharply to the side, the Doctor’s arm moved automatically to River’s waist, intent on helping her keep her feet. “Your friend the Chancellor’s made quick use of the only escape pod. D’you have what you need?”
