So I have had one big problem with the new Star War trilogy. There are a few small things I do not personally enjoy however one thing has always bugged me.
So in the Original trilogy, Luke is determined to save his dad. He sees past the killing, the complete mess Darth Vader is. He sees the good inside his dad. Cool, right? Like Luke is a strong believer in hope and family. Even his mother, Padme never gave up on Anakin. Anakin might of been the chosen one, however, this series is about hope and not giving up on each Other.
But you are telling me when Ben Solo, who was like 15(?) or younger was struggling, just struggling, he decided he must be killed? This kid probably just had some teenage depression and angst- but could of been saved if he was probably sent home to his mom. Honestly the Jedi code is an awful way to raise kids but passed that point. Luke gave up on his nephew who at the point hadn’t killed anyone but didn’t give up on his murdering dad.
I’m sorry that’s my problem with the new series.
