The Hollow knight for the brutally honest opinions meme?

As much as I adore the Hollow Knight and think they deserved better, they aren’t the pinnacle of purity who did nothing wrong lol I mean the birthplace scene is a good example of that. But we don’t know nearly enough about them either way to know exactly what they’re like.

Hey, speaking of damien, I've been trying to figure out what kind of flower he wears in WKM as I wouldn't put it past mark to deliberately choose a flower for the meanings it conveys, either abt damien himself or his character arc or both.

If it's a white rose, the meaning of a single white rose (at least in western culture according to the internet) is: hope, respect, love and a purity of the feelings of respect and love. And Damien was so sweet and worried

But if the flower is a white carnation? Not only is it a symbol of death (all carnations are, apparently) it also means purity and luck. Which. I just. The man was one of the view trying to figure out wtf happened and died for a time - got body snatched.

In either case. When Damien becomes dark at the end, he looses the flower.

Actually, I have a post about this! I am 95% certain that Damien’s flower is a carnation. I just don’t think that it’s large enough for its shape to be a rose. Roses have pretty big flowers. Carnations are much smaller. But there’s actually a LOT of meanings with carnations that suit Damien in specific.

Aaaa I love the newest chapter! I wasn't expecting how Ghost handled Midwife - and I love how as soon as she realized that the shades were Children how she approached them in a much gentler manner, they responded to the kindness so very few ever gave them in life

And her righteous fury at the pale king and white Lady when she was freed from the Void Orb:tm: was glorious to behold! Call them out on their shit! Make them confront the horrors of their sins and make sure at least someone else knows!

I also like how Herrah was slightly less incandescently furious because she is also a ruler of a people and understands the drive to protect one's people, even at heavy cost, tho I doubt Herrah would yeet a huge bumber of babies into the void on the chance that the radience could be contained by one of them.

And how worried Ghost was that they would be rejected by their sinlings for being so scary! The absolutely necessary stop for cuddles and reassurance that yes they are loved and they did good to waylay the adults from grabbing them, especially as they are so, so close to reaching their goal!

Speaking of said goal... I can only imagine the radience and the siblings' responses to one another ... is not going to go well. Also the seer prob going just as feral as radi bc she is trying to protect her goddess

Ghost has a lot of fears, but thankfully, their siblings are more than happy to shower them in love and affection!

Alright Ghost. You managed to get your sister to head off for the moment. Spill the beans! What do you know about thevmoths and why are you hiding it from your siblings? Oooo, did you get a dream nail from a certain Seer?

I really love Its all above wonder anyways!! The characterization and lacing is amazing, and I love how protective all three of the siblings are of each other!!

Also teeny tiny godling Ghost who only has the vaguest beginnings of "oh... something has changed" in the last chapter is great. Also the fact that they solved The Issues of Being Hunted via Magic Scream:tm:

They are so, so close to getting to the resting grounds... But also getting caught.

Also if they do manage to get to the resting grounds before getting grabbed... there is a damaged Radi angrily chilling on Lepitera's couch/bed is going to freak all three of them out p badly

Also I wonder if Hornet might be able to talk Midwife into letting them go? Probably not as she is Teeny and been missing for three days...

Also Ghost and Hollow are going to be very surprised if they do get caught and returned to PK and WL, as WL at least wants to treat them as the kids they are... tho I'm not sure how well any of the sibs would react to that

And hehehehehehehehe yes to all of the above, shit is going to start happening, and I can’t wait for you all to see what is going on! Lepitera and Radi are gonna go apeshit, the siblings are going to go apeshit, their parents have no idea what’s going on, but boy oh howdy it isn’t great.

I can’t tell you how much I want to spoil the Midwife and Ghost thing NOW, but alas... soon ;)
