An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
My first PHM fic!
Not the thing I was expecting to publish first for this fandom but I was struck by a lightning bolt and had to write this. Enjoy Jewish Ryland Grace

Febuwhump 2024, day 3 - "Bite down on this"
Fandom: Linked Universe
Characters: Time, Legend, Warriors
Summary: “I can usually get by just plucking them as they sprout, but they aren’t growing well this time. I think there might be some, uh, root rot. I’m pretty sure the roots will need to be…extracted.”
His blood rushed past his ears, and he could barely hear himself think. “Extracted.”
Don't Let Me Close My Eyes
Legend sleep deprivation torture aftermath! That's the fic! Have fun!
Warnings for aftermath of torture/whump. Definitely mind the tags.
I love this one a lot and I'm only partway through writing chapter two. I don't know what else to say about this one, it's on the tin.

Happy holidays, everyone! I have the pleasure of sharing another legally-distinct-Chanukah story for @fswintersdelight this year. Thank you Kalh for organizing this again! It's been so wonderful seeing everyone's art.
Nothing Strikes (Yet Wounds Still Bleed)
Aka psychosis Legend, the first proper installment. I have had this in my brain for years, and now it's in yours. Sorry not sorry
Shivers
LOZ Fic Fight! This is for @playingforward. Enjoy!
Prompt: Four Swords Manga, all of the Colours return to living in one body after sheathing the Four Sword but do not fully integrate into one identity: Nearly freezing to death during his adventure took a toll on the part of Link that was Blue. The rest of them attempt to comfort and take care of him during a particularly cold, drafty day. Suggestions: holding hands, making tea, blankets, reading.
They shivered fiercely as another curl of cold air came in through the gap in the window. It was still late fall; there wasn’t any snow on the ground yet, but the air bit their ears even in the middle of the day.
Red didn’t think it was all that cold, but Blue kept grabbing hold of the body when he shook. Privately, as privately as they could manage like this, Green thought that the feeling of dread that iced up their spine had more influence over the shivering than the temperature itself. If Blue was simply chilly, his shivers wouldn’t vibrate him into control the way they were now. Vio had just managed to lay a proper fire in the hearth before being inadvertently pulled back for another bout of shaking.
Letters
Legend of Link Fic Fight prompt: People from all five kingdoms must work together to help Link.
For @liketolaugh-writes
Kushara sucked on the last threads of tobac-kelp as she lounged against the headboard. “What’s it say?” she asked lazily.
Dradd didn’t respond immediately, still reading over the water-safe letter that his page had awkwardly delivered through the door.
“What’s so important that it couldn’t wait until tomorrow?”
“It’s from the Hyrulean princess.”
”What does the Hyrulean princess want with you?”
“With us,” he said. “She’s reaching out to every kingdom she can reach for help.”
Kushara rolled her eyes. “What does she need help with?” she prodded.
”Um…” he read a bit more. “‘The hero Link…faces of evil…’ no, forces, sorry. Um… Have you ever heard of Ganon?”
She shifted into a more comfortable position on the pillows. “Not familiar.”
”Well, apparently he’s kidnapped Link.”
”Do we know who that is?”
Dradd stroked his whiskers. “Wasn’t he that kid trying to handle the rifts?”
”I thought Zelda did that.”
”Maybe she knows him.”
Kushara waved him on. “What exactly does the princess want?”
He returned his attention to the letter. “She…is calling a meeting of the kingdoms. She has a plan, but she wants to tell us in person.”
”I suppose we can humor her,” Kushara said. She groaned as she stretched her spine and let herself sink further into the wrinkled sheets. “That’s an issue for the morning, though.” When Dradd didn’t respond, she opened an eye to watch him. “Dradd?”
“Your Hyrulean is better than mine,” he said. “Can you make sure I’m reading this right?”
”Ugh.” She pushed herself back into a seated position. “Give it here.”
He handed it over, and she immediately began skimming. It wasn’t until she got to the signature that she realized what was going on.
”How long has Zelda been a princess?!”
Light Up the Night
Legend of Link Fic Fight prompt: They are all arsonists, every last one of them.
For @melneth
Twilight watched helplessly as the others tore into the absolutely massive pile of fireworks that had been dumped on the beach.
Four grabbed an obscene collection of sparklers stuck between all his fingers like a bouquet that Wind was eagerly lighting as quickly as possible before he burned himself.
Legend and Warriors were setting up an elaborate pattern of Roman candles on the sand. They both had their fire rods on standby, but at least they were a few dozen feet away from the rest of the group.
Wild and Hyrule were strapping together as many miniature rockets as they could and twisting the fuses together. Twilight took a subtle step away from their setup.
He looked to Time and Sky, hoping for empathy if not help containing the inevitable uncontrolled fires, but Sky was loading every party snap they could into a bag, and Time was testing the weight of Warriors’ hammer next to him.
Twilight sighed. He took heart in the fact that the beach was isolated from the nearby town, at least.
He jumped as Four appeared in front of him. The smith silently held out a fistful of unlit sparklers and a matchbook. Twilight hesitated for a long moment, but not even he could resist the allure.
