Dinner tonight was really good! We •almost• went out because I didn’t feel like cooking (hey, it happens!) but I opened my LITK Cookbook and it opened to the page with her Ham, Pea and Gorgonzola cheese pasta and I recreated that using what I had on hand. That’s what I love about cooking; recipes can more or less be a guideline for amazing dishes. We loved the creamy aspect, how simple it was to make plus all the complimentary flavors. Soup season is FINALLY here! Today I whipped up @mrsvitale latest Pasta e Fagioli and couldn’t be happier with the results. Thank goodness I have her book, because I had to sort of combine the latest recipe with the steps from the Laura In The Kitchen Cookbook seeing as I decided to make this last minute and didn’t have beans soaked and cooked. Chicken Alfredo is one of those dinners I don’t have very often but after having lots of rain all night and most of today, is was just what mama needed. For me, this is the epitome of Home Food. Tonight for dinner my husband and I both manned two stations in the kitchen.
