we’re coming up on a new year and every year I think “this is it! this is the year!” I’m not really sure what I hope to achieve when I say things like that (especially since my resolutions are usually pretty broad and generic) but now with so much going on it’s time for a more specific goals list for 2013, and with ones that are realistically achievable. Girl, you better WERK. earn Encore! awards at work learn more of the basics of tax law get more involved in a charity/focus group I’m a Librarian! help create a toolkit for marketing the value of law librarians plan a crossover SLA/LLSDC event create a cheat sheet for Arrangements position write and contribute to library publication(s) make valuable connections at conferences I’m a Big Kid Now! get out of debt, once and for all sleep is important, get some Stick to it! get a kickboxing/spinning membership get to church at least twice a month only buy lunch once a week Susie Homemaker devote time on nights & weekends to baking or crafts do more of what makes me happy DC Tourist go on Pentagon Tour go to see an oral argument at Supreme Court get west wing tour World Traveler get out and about! go see new places! do new things! up and at em! The Three P’s most importantly – keep to this year’s motto in all that I do.
