Ulquiorra stares up toward her as she telled him that he had helped her " I did?" He asked, seeming quite confused, in a small way. It struck him as odd, having heard that. He had never helped anyone but Aizen, and less so, perhaps, Orihime. Neither of them had ever appreciated it though. Or even really acknowledged it. It was simply a tool, to Aizen. Orihime had seemed to completely forget him. Though he had never expected thanks. Aizen gave him a purpose for being. Orihime gave him a reason to in some way, stay.
Still, he couldn't imagine having helped this woman before him. Though he did listen when she spoke on. It was true, she wasn't exactly needed by Aizen, and he could have killed her. Probably still should have killed her. But he didn't. Ulquiorra didn't really want to kill anyone. He had never wanted much of anything at all, actually. He was quite logical, rational, and very empty inside. His ignoring following Aizen's orders to kill such people often ended up in their surviving. That, he thought, wasn't very helpful.
"There is no reason to kill meaninglessly. Your death would not provide us what we want, just as much as your living, would not." Ulquiorra says letting out a few difficult breaths as his body was falling apart still "You wish to go home?" He searched, his eyes shifting quickly trying to find his own 'home' in his mind. Hueco Mundo was the only thing that came to mind. But he didn't think it felt much like home. But he had really never felt anything at all " Is your home that important to you?" He had thought Hueco Mundo was important to him.
" With the friends and family that you have. It must be that you miss them." Ulquiorra sighed, knowing he wouldn't have missed many of the others that resided in Hueco Mundo. Though they wouldn't have missed him either if he were gone. His brows furrowing a little bit he looked at her "You came through a mirror, into our world. Can't you not simply go back through a mirror, to home?" As she lift her hands he flinched away slightly, not sure what she was about to do.
In all honestly he didn't know what this sudden feeling that struck him even had been. Was it panic? Fright? Whatever it was, it had recalled the memories of Ichigo and his fight. Blinking, they left him just as quickly. Seeing she was healing him he looked down toward the wounds that were filling back up with parts of his body once more. As she slacked and her breathing grew shallow, he sat up a little more, listening to her speak before lifting up his right hand, staring at the palm before closing his fist.
" Orihime should have done that." The Arrancar in a faint voice. Looking toward Layla he listen to what she had to say " Yes. Now I do not feel so weak. What happened to me... Was necessary. I followed my orders. What came after was meant to happen. It is useless to be sorry about such things. Especially when you were not there." Ulquiorra spoke, coldly before moving to sit up, watching her. As he was staring he let a silence spread between the two of them before speaking " Then I shall bring you home. For helping me."
