Solomon, the fallen king
I rarely link these, but I like how calm this video on starting my new sketchbook turned out, so if you feel like watching me sketch, mess around with gold leaf and different pencils, and talk about my process in general, I'd love to see you there! VIDEO
Shono here! I'm the cartoonist for the webcomic Shadows of Oblivion. It's a Sci/Fantasy adventure comic that deals with the enviability of "the end."
It's rated 13+ and you can read it up on GlobalComix! https://globalcomix.com/c/shadows-of-oblivion
Please enjoy my art process!

Beginning sketches for blink! The layouts in Blink will comprise of: The Dark city, The Ruins, The Rocks, The Sands, and lastly The Tower.
The Dark City: A fallen Utopian style city that has been forced to build on top of itself for many years just to survive. It is jumbled, cramped, and patchwork, but is keeping itself together. Surrounded by water, much of the city’s outer rings and the pillars of its bridge has been lost below the surface of the rising tide.
The Ruins: The Ruins are what is left of the once sprawling city, washed up on the shore and sunk into quicksand-like ground.
The Rocks: The Safest way to get to the sands. A maze of interlocking caves, red in color and striated from years of sediment buildup. Slowly, the breakdown of these caves and rocks created The Sands.
The Sands and The Tower: The sands are an expansive dessert, once full of life. Now, fragments of the other five fallen Goliath and towers litter the sands. Only one tower remains, with it’s light glowing atop it. Around the tower, plant-life and animals are plentiful and prosperous and there are spires spiraling around it’s perimeter. These are the evidence of the Last Goliath slumbering under the sands and protecting his tower.
Sketched this up on Sunday. I've been meaning to do fanart for Song of the Sea since me and my sister watched it on a cruise we were on two years ago, but I hadn't really done anything about it until now. I'm hoping to do a nice watercolour piece, but I wanted to plan something out first and so this little doodle happened. I'm probably going to do some more layout sketches first before I decide on one to go ahead and paint, but I quite like how this came out.
