Inktober Day 24: Dozen. Apostlebirds sketched from memory.
A day late because uni started up again yesterday, and... well, you know.
Apostlebirds are so called because they get around in groups of about a dozen (which being biology actually means roughly 6-20). They’re charismatic, gregarious little birds with ill-proportioned tails that live west of the Great Dividing Range. Depending on what they’re up to they fly, hop, or do a hilarious wide-legged high-stepping waddle, and they sound a bit like a chattery scissor-grinder.
