With his nose in a book, Finn navigated the halls of the Academy. On more than one occasion he needed to excuse himself for accidentally bumping shoulders with someone. He almost made it to class before full on running into someone, dropping book and all. “Sorry!” Finn stated bending down to pick up his belonging before finally looking at the other. He’d seen him in a few of his classes, a small smile on his as he realize who it was. “Oh, uh, hey....Gabriel, right?” A bit nervous with meeting him officially for the first time, though he couldn’t pinpoint why.

the party’s in full swing. an engaging and trendy playlist thumps from the frye family speakers, kids - mostly strangers to him - drink expensive mixed drinks from red plastic cups, and cameron is currently chasing a headache reliever with a swig of lukewarm beer. the hand that’s been pressed anxiously against his forehead for much of the night reaches out when he gets a passing glimpse of a familiar face.
“cher, jesus. where’ve you been?” likely filling in as hostess while cameron fretted. “y’know i think i heard somethin’ breaking a second ago and it triggered a vivid epiphany as to how deeply i’m going to regret all this.”

say what you will about john elliot bender the second , but no one can say he doesn’t throw one hell of a party . everyone could attend , it didn’t matter what clique , because the student body would get too wasted to care who they were kissing or dancing with . everything just went back to normal next monday at school . the rich boy really only threw these ragers to destroy the house –––– and , 9 times out of 10 , he succeeded in doing so –––– but none of these kids needed to know that . as long as he supplied the booze , the drugs , and the space , they really didn’t question anything . and there wasn’t a weekend or holiday that went by without a john bender party .
you’re welcome , shermer , illinois .
he’s just passing a joint to the girl to his left when he sees michael leant up real close to a hot blonde near the stairs . upon closer inspection , bender thinks that hot blonde is cher horowitz , who he really didn’t know all that well , except for the fact that she did not live in his part of town . still , she’s attractive , there’s no denying that , which is why he squints at the way the other rich idiot is pressing closer to her , trying to make her laugh . as if john was going to let anyone besides him take the pretty blonde home .
grabbing for two drinks , he waltzes over to the duo , michael instantly looking up , and looking displeased , but unable to say so , with the stare bender is giving him right back . ‘ how ‘bout you take a hike , mike ? ’ brows raise . ‘ looks like th’girl’s not interested , ’ without so much as a word , the other boy stumbles away , finding a group of guys do to a keg stand with .
john hands her a cup . ‘ was he being rude to you ? ‘cause i can take care’ve that in two seconds , no sweat , ’ the smile he gives cher is now charming as he sips at his drink , calling to her over the house music . ‘ cher , right ? ’

The girls agree upon a name. That’s the first step, in one journey that Toni isn’t wholly sure of. It’s not that she doesn’t want this, them. The new gang with its pink flashy colours that match to the look of her hair, the pop of bubblegum to match with the nastiness that resonates beneath the surface... no, not a toxicity per say, not within her eyes, not in her thoughts. This is simply the reality of what they face now, pure and simple. And how sad is that, that girls left looking for a home in someone found themselves bound together, instead, because the truth was that more often than not, there was no better means from which to draw support. Only amongst the misfits did they ever truly feel as if they belonged.
So they grab a table at Pops and just TALK. It’s almost a joke, how easily their lives align, but then again, the broken pieces of a person more often than not align with the same sad little story. But one by one, they drop off to find themselves heading home, and soon, even Cheryl undrapes herself from about her neck to declare that she’s absolutely exhausted, and that she won’t wait up. They exchange a look - it’s quiet, but it ends in a smile before she turns to the last one left standing, a basket of fries, crisply fried, between them. “Angelia Henderson.” the name simply rolls off her tongue, and with a soft laugh, her fingers pluck a fry, dragging it through the far-too-red stickiness of ketchup that they’ve split out over the silver wrapping paper off to the side.
“So tell me bout yourself. I’ve seen you around... here and there. What’s up with that?” other Southside folk, though never those that ran in close circles with her... Namely, they weren’t SERPENTS, but that wasn’t a terrible thing. Not anymore. Now that she’d had that connection ripped out from beneath her feet, it’s almost laughable how hard it is to talk to those that she once thought would be all that she’d have left at the end of the day. Well. Life comes at you fast, or so they say. “And what exactly draws you to the Pretty Poisons?”

HALLOWEEN – at the end of class
Jake Fitzgerald walked down the hall of University with a purpose. In high school he always felt like a bigshot and college was no different for the basketball player with a wicked three pointer and crass sense of humor. He was by all means, the quintessential frat boy. However, at the moment Jake was still just a pledge for the fraternity he’s been trying to get into. Meanwhile his girlfriend Brooke and her friends were already a part of a sorority and if Jake didn’t get into a frat soon, he was afraid some Delta Phi would sweep her out of her Jimmy Choos. Which brings Jake to plan A: throw a massive party at his casa while a masked serial killer threatens the small town’s safety. As a horror movie lover, Jake knew it was a BAD idea, but did he care? Hell to the no. Jake knew if he pulled this thing off he’d be a LEGEND.
Speaking of legends, Jake spotted Emma coming down the stairs but with no besties in tow? What gives? “Yo, Em!” Jake hollered in an effort to grab her attention. “Have you seen Brooke? I was supposed to give her a ride. If you know what I mean?” a slow smirk darkens the male’s eyes as he goofs off. However, he’s also dead ass serious. Brooke owed him some lovin’ since she cock blocked him on the way to school by bringing Riley Marra. Which, would complete the perfect trio of: Emma, Riley, and Brooke. “Also, you’re comin’ to the Jake’s party tonight, yes? Because I already told some of the fraternity bros you’d be there. I also told them you were a virgin but ready to lose it.” Jake didn’t really know shit about Emma’s sex life, or if she was a virgin or not, but it sounded good for the fraternity. Who doesn’t wanna be somebody’s first? @lcokingfortrouble
@lcokingfortrouble liked for a starter!
she was in the middle of some town in the middle of some state. specifically, she was seated at counter of the local diner. amalia had immediately gotten the vibe that this town was the sort where everyone knew each other on account of all the long and uncomfortable stares she’d received open her arrival. molly just didn’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. she placed herself in the corner where she wouldn’t be in anyone’s way, and ordered her usual of a cheeseburger with waffle fries and a vanilla shake. not wanting to take a chance, her eyes stuck to her phone, not feeling the idea of making eye contact with anyone. that was, until he noticed someone approach her. she waited a few moments before she looked up to them, clearing her throat, “ ..can i help you with something? ”
