he knew the reason for carrie's behavior. he also knew that wyatt couldn't be bothered to give a shit. he felt awful for being in love with his best friend's wife, but he knew the real wyatt — the one who didn't deserve carrie for the incredible woman that she was. her words caused him to smile even more, raising both brows in surprise of her sudden compliment. "you think so?" he questioned, leaning against the counter again as the dishes were finally finished. "you're great, carrie."
— fast forward — soon after the dishes were done, adrian said his goodbyes and headed back home. his mind began racing. was he really going to go through with this? to go on and betray his best friend, telling her all about the man he truly was behind her back. he paced back and forth in his living room before finally working up the courage to send her a text.
