Finally sliding into your asks for the 2025 ask game (I know, it’s 2026 now, we’re ignoring it). You know I loved your Nessriel fic Time Will Explain (If We Let It), but the fic I enjoyed equally as much was Righteous Man. Geeking out over religious imagery and symbolism is a core memory, and Berlain has been a discovery. You know I’ll be reading everything you’ll write in 2026, cheering you on, but I’d love me some more Nessriel! Perhaps some early dynamics, set during ACOWAR, when everyone’s still figuring it out and being dumb about their feelings…

i've seen your youtube video with Lance and the forget meme a few times and it always touches my heart. I only today noticed it's from a comic! so i read it at tapas. Are you planning to continue it? since last ep you posted there was in 2017? I kinda stalked your blog lol. Your au is amazing! I just wanna know if you're still on board :)

Hello Anon, sorry for answering this so late! I don’t check Tumblr as much any more so I missed your message.

I’m glad you like that video!  I want to continue B&B someday but 1) I need to finish watching Voltron first (I haven’t seen the last two seasons for myself even though I have a general idea of what happens) so I can make any adjustments necessary to my story, and 2) I’m trying to figure out how much free time I’ll have in the future once I start school again.

If I can’t continue working on it, I will post the plot outlines for the main comic + 5 backstory sidecomics so people will know what was going to happen.

While I’m sure you have good intentions (I’ve heard about many people reacting negatively to the final two seasons for a myriad of reasons, and it sounds like you’re one of them), I still want to watch them for myself for closure and see if I can integrate any new material into B&B.  The main comic was planned in its entirety before s2 even came out, so I’ve always wanted to watch all of VLD before going back and making plot edits while it’s still in Chapter 1.  Maybe add in some more references and characters, etc.

So thank you for the cautionary message, but I can decide on my own whether I want to watch things.

I found your b&b comic on tapas and noticed its been a while since it got updated. Did you drop it? (I don't want to come across rude or pushy, I'm just curious since I really liked it so far)

Hi Anon, don’t worry you’re not being pushy!  It’s been a while since I said anything about the status of B&B so I don’t mind that you asked. (Honestly all of my followers have been really respectful about update-asking, so shoutout to you guys for being polite.)

I haven’t dropped it but I’ve been too busy and feeling burnt out (from fandom and IRL) to work on it lately.  I’m currently co-modding the Coran zine so my Voltron-fandom-brain-energy has been focusing on that instead of personal projects to pace myself.  I know that if I try to do too much of one thing, I’m just going to get bored and it’ll feel not-fun and then I’ll give up on all of it, and I don’t want to do that with this comic because I’ve invested so much time into planning everything.  So admittedly I’ve taken a short break from Voltron content-making, and I’m fandom-hopping a little to keep myself entertained (D&D shenanigans, and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle which has destroyed my soul again, thanks CLAMP).

I’d rather restart B&B when I definitely have time to regularly update, instead of uploading something and then leaving it on hiatus again in the middle of an action segment.  The rest of Chapter 1 doesn’t really have any more room for long breaks so I don’t want to leave people on a cliffhanger ahaha.
