Hello drabble anon here back with another LDF drabble, well this isn't really a drabble as I manage to form a somewhat complete finished.
but I split it into two parts because my mind feels more satisfaction with short stories than, at least what I see, long one-shots

Contrary to what most people believe, Gempa is not the oldest
Yeah he may act the most responsible, what with Halilintar's tendency to distance himself from people and Taufan's... well everything, but between the three of them Gempa had and always has been the youngest. Which is ironic, since he was appointed the leader by the unanimous vote of Petir and Angin
Tanah could and had argued that Petir would be a better leader than him. But anytime he does, Angin just cackled as if the thought of Petir as the leader was so ridiculous that he couldn't believe anyone was seriously saying thatthat
But, that was all in the past. Gempa now knew Hali and Upan better than he did back as a kid, how Hali would act as if he doesn't fear anything when they all know the fact that he was one bad moment away from breaking down, how Upan was so good at faking how he felt that he even confuse himself by laughing off a horrible injury that they question if it really was as urgent as they thought, how Gempa would spiral when he made any kind of mistake small or not-, he was the leader guys even if it's small it would have-
"..y, Do you think Ali still keeps a teddy bear ?" Taufan-, no Angin, they were in a 'secure' environment but that doesn't mean they were completely safe, Angin asked while snaking his arm around his shoulder in a way that grounded, hah, him
"... Sorry what?" now that he's somewhat aware of his surroundings, he felt Petir at his right walking next to them looking around the surrounding blue hallways in a way that shows he was unamused
"Does Ali have a teddy bear with him" Repeating the question, although it sounded more like a statement when the lightning user was saying it, Petir gave Tanah a quick glance before continuing to assess the very blue hallways they were passing in what he now realized as suspicion disguised as unamusement
"I don-, uh, I don't think so?" He cringes at the way his answer sounds more like a question,
"Aww am I boring you, is that why it takes Petir talking for you to listen to me" Angin added with a pout in his face
"No-, i mean-" He knows it's rhetorical, but he can't help the small guilt start creeping up as he looks at Angin's face "well I was just-"
"why is it so blue ?" Petir, now with his hand at Tanah's arm, asks with contemplation as he squints forward. Angin forgetting that he was guilt-tripping Tanah into listening to his story, rambles off a couple theories that range from 'maybe that's the default colour' to 'maybe everyone here loves the colour blue'
"Careful you almost sound like you're jealous"
"Course you would think that like you..."
the playful bickering was familiar Angin would take jabs at Petir until he retaliated then he in turn would jab at Angin's, whether or not it was relevant, tendency to having way too much fun at attracting danger
".....ot True, I wasn't..."
"... doesn't count it..."
"BOBOIBOY" all at once, the playful atmosphere evaporated as they snap towards their friend, rushing down the hallway out of breath
Ali, in all his red tech-ed glory, took a moment to catch his breath, unaware that the three in front of him brace themselves for any kind of storm-the-base attack that they were used to
Angin drops his arms to his sides with a worried frown on his face, Petir silently moves between them and places both his hands to either side of their shoulders, Tanah readies himself to hear the worst possible scenario
after steadying his breathing Ali straightened up, double takes then just shook his head in a way that they know means 'million questions to ask but will have to do it later', then proceeds to say the worst possible thing that has been uttered when they were secretly split to three
"Someone is asking you to meet them in their office, alone"
Angin frowns, Petir's grip tightens and Tanah knows something bad is going to happen
Taufan wasn't dumb, Sure he does get distracted and sometimes that leads to some mistakes made. But come on, that doesn't mean he was stupid
He argued it was best the three of them goes. Convince Tanah that it's fine, MATA could probably be trusted with their little secret yeah- no that sounded wrong even he didn't believe that, but still can't at least two of them go please
It was decided that Petir was the one to go, since he looks more like their un-split form
Tanah's decision was final, Ali left with Petir trailing behind him
Sometimes he hates the fact that he actively encourages Tanah to be more strict
But right now he'd rather feel stupid than helpless
