His mother having French ancestry, DAVID NIVEN was very well suited to appear in the hilarious 1969 French comedy directed by Gerard Oury starring Jean-Paul Belmondo, Bourvil, Eli Wallach and the gorgeous Silvia Monti.
While the movie tanked in the US market, it was a huge hit all over Europe and allowed Niven to gain a brand new audience as he effortlessly exuded comic and charm. One of his best comedies and A MUST SEE MOVIE.
