These lil guys are in danger of becoming extinct due to logging… Seriously who would go smashing down a select area of trees and wipe them off the face of the earth forever for fucking wood monies?! I’ll save you buddy! I wonder if you can adopt them… If so everyone should adopt a Leadbeater’s possum!

Notable for its rediscovery in 1961, after 52 years of presumed extinction, Leadbeater's possum has a gray back with a dark central stripe from head to tail and off-white underside. Speedy and elusive in trees, it feeds at night on small invertebrates and tree juices such as gum, sap, and nectar. Colonies of up to 8 consists of a senior breeding pair and their offspring, mainly males. Females defend the group's territory.

The story of the little red Toolangi Treehouse

went up to toolangi yesterday and it was absolutely beautiful! i suggest everyone visit the forest there before they disappear - the mountain ash are the most amazing trees. all the wattles were in bloom too so it was lovely! there were heaps of people there too, the knitting nannas (a protest group of, well, knitting nannas) organised a picnic complete with tea and everything. it was brill
