30 first fandom I wrote for-

That’s buddie 911 - in fact only fandom. I have imagined other stories Hawaii 50 and The Old Guard mostly but never wrote a single word of it!

40 writing speciality- oh I don’t know if I have one? I like to think I’m ok at making the characters talk like people and not like they’re in a story and reading lines no one really says in real life. Maybe? And I hope I can build some humour into the lighter fics especially the ones where they’re both oblivious

48 - Titles! Argh my nemesis … have you seen the post that says either it’s there perfect and shining right from the start or it’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done??? That’s me. I go with song lyrics sometimes may be with a bit of a tweak or To start me off , might get an idea from a part of the story but other times I spend forever trying to work it out and cursing the universe the title for ‘lost without you’ took me sooooo long and then felt like the obvious choice! I

I hate titles and I’m not much keener on summaries

now, im not nearly as heated as i was when i first read this, but i was banned before i had the opportunity to respond. I was going to say something about how parents feelings dont matter, because when you decide to raise a child, you sign up for the possibility  of having a disabled child. NO ONE is entitled to a kid. it is a responsibility not a right. If you cannot handle having a disabled child then you should not have children period the end. It is your job as a parent to do everything in your power to set your child up for success and give them the best possible life. it is your job to love them without judgment and without condition. if you feel as though raising a disabled child is too much for you to handle then do not have kids. ever.  

as for finding common ground, well. I am not in the business of finding common ground with people who excuse bigotry and allow it to fester and flourish. if you are willing to find common ground with bigots then you are a danger to marginalized people. 

yes rhia i agree, bigots and their enablers shouldnt feel safe in fandom spaces.

and what kind of people do you want in your server exactly? people that will back you no matter what you say? The only thing I said was calling out ableism, if that is driving away the people you want then who is it that you want? and for the sake of clarity, here is the conversation rhia is refering to where i am apparently “driving away” the people she wants in her server by calling out ableism.

Genuinely i think the screenshots in this post speak for themselves. "This is ableism. This isn't". And I found the wording of "Explanation for context. I refer to “stone” here, which was the nickname friendofthebabadook had changed into."...strange. Searched her blog she's a terf with a gender critical tag and everything. She also tries to say im the one that talks over disabled people bc i said I didnt want to leave disabled people to deal with her ableism. Wasnt aware showing support for people was talking over! Wow so glad someone so old and wise like rhia is here to tell a dumb youth what's what!

Also none of these screenshots include where she compares disabled people to her sick cat!

Re: the Buckley-Diaz Family discord server not being a safe space for disabled people.. Unfortunately I can't get access to screenshots of those two hours because she deleted them. So rhia you know you're wrong. Interesting.

1. When she initially kicked me. If you're so offended by being called an ableist you ban someone... hmmm

2. The context for me "sneaking in" based the starboard it very much looked like they were making fun of the autistic headcanons so I picked up a reaction role to see. (Shockingly it was just some incomprehensible conversation about fruit. But the choice to star was still interesting)

3. Our dms. Once again if youre this offended by being told you're in the wrong...

Also here's some messages from the gen x chat before I was banned

1. The first message is clearly about the conversation about ableism. Which btw started with my friend (who is disabled) saying she doesn't like Shannon bc shes ableist which rhia took a LOT of offense to for some reason and went on for two hours about what is and isn't ableist as three disabled people went "you're wrong" and she steamrolled over them. She also made it a rule after this that no one was allowed to bad mouth shannon where she could see.

2. I'm not going to pretend to know what goes on in her head. Either she thought the randomness is funny or it was pointed at the autistic canons idk you're gonna have to decide that for yourself. But I will say the starboard is not used much. So take that how you will.

The bottom line here is im not out to "cancel" anybody. Im not one to make callout posts. I have absolutely nothing to gain from this. I just think disabled people in the buddie fandom should know if their opinions are unwelcome and their experiences dismissed in a space before they join.
