“Making lists of words, to thicken my active vocabulary. To have puny, not just little, hoax, not just trick, mortifying, not just embarrassing, bogus, not just fake.
I could make a story out of puny, hoax, mortifying, bogus. They are a story.”

Learning new words today 🙈
Ikigai
Today I learned a Japanese word “ikigai’. It has a very beautiful meaning - ‘The purpose of being’ Every human has an ikigai. I wonder why we often find foreign words so fascinating. I mean we basically have words for the very same meaning in English too. I think for me it is because these English words have a lot of baggage, a lot of predetermined meaning and a lot of associated beliefs conditioned by society. When I think of ‘purpose’ I think of a 100 things but how many of those are my true thoughts? When I hear ‘ikigai’, it’s a totally new word and though the meaning might be old, it gives me an opportunity to discover my ikigai without any expectations, standards or norms.
I found a synonym for Katsuki Bakugou!
"Wait... 'bellicose'? What the fuck does that word even mean?" One quick look up later. "Huh. 'Favoring or inclined to start quarrels or wars'. I dunno if that's how I'd describe Titan, but the other ones? Yup. Could describe some people I know that way too."
