How does one ink an artwork? Patiently. During my early stage of lettering, I’m so envious of those who can properly ink their artwork. Mine looked so sloppy, ugly and the edges were jagged. But I continued lettering, regardless of the outcome and just did it because, well, is there any solution I can do to better my inking? If there was I would have done it a long time ago. But the truth is, it takes a lot of practice and muscle exercise to be able to ink with precision. Until I came to a point where an art director told me, please have this done by hand, not by computer. I had a good laugh! I never had any lettering done using pen tool. It was all handmade. It was a funny encounter. I used to be so conscious of my inking and now I have to tone it down a notch! So if you’re wondering, will yours get better? It will! Just keep inking! . P.S. this was a repost as the previous one isn’t displaying in my feed so it was deleted. If you left me a comment there and did not get a response, I apologize. . . #masteringhandlettering #myedeleon #mdlhandlettering #inktober2017 #inktober #letteringleague #letteringchallenge #handlettering #learnlettering #goodtype #strengthinletters #typegang #typematters #handmadetype #handmadefont
