A coffee shops is a fairly inconspicuous and nonthreatening place for them to meet. It's neutral territory, quiet and pleasant, and the social contract which flourishes in a public place will restrain them both from shouting. 

There's nothing left for Seventh to do but twist his phone on the table and wait for Yugi to arrive. Hell, he'll even buy the kid a drink.

"Yeah it’s been a while. Where have you been? I sort of missed you, kinda. Not much, just a little."

Gray couldn’t even recall the last time they encountered each other. All he knew for sure is that is was quite some time ago. He didn’t remember them not talking to each other for a reason, so assumed it’s fair to jump to the conclusion that they’ve just been running on very different schedules. Although Gray doesn’t necessarily have much of a schedule aside from his typical morning routines. Besides that he usually just went with the flow, not knowing if he would be going out on a job or not.
