leaving your mark in the world 一 🌎
dear sweet berries 🍓🐷
finding your voice and wanting to leave a mark on the world can feel overwhelming, but remember, every journey starts with a single step!
start by looking inside you. what moves you? what do you like? what inspires you? maybe it’s nature!
the way sunlight filters through leaves, the little creatures in ponds, or the beautiful sky at sunset, inspiring you to capture its beauty in watercolor, writing, photography, or whatever you love most!
practice what you like daily like picasso!
who filled countless notebooks before creating masterpieces!
don’t be afraid to make stuff you’re not fully satisfied with, it’s all part of your learning process!
don’t fear failure, see it as a way to learn! 🌈
and most importantly, believe in yourself, even if nobody else does!
do what brings you the most joy! 🌟

The world is gold and On it Our words are enshrined in fading ink And cracked yellow paper. We look at it and smile And say we've left our mark.

This morning as I attended Thursday morning service I looked at two names that were crudely scratched into the top of the pew. I had seen these faded names hundreds of times throughout the years but I never really gave it much thought.
Who were E. Virtue and C. Mull I asked myself? What were their stories? Had they used a geometry protractor as their artistic weapon? It reminded me of my days…

Sometimes I’m just like I’ve done nothing but sit here all day watching What’s New Scooby Doo? while eating cheese. I meant to read those two chapters and brush my teeth and built something cool for my cats and make a plan for a productive life that I can leave a mark with, and look up housing situations in different places, hours ago. I’m doing nothing important and wasting my young years, life and time.
And other times I just look at life like an airplane ride -- like weeeelp, guess I’ll just find some way to make the time go by and enjoy it until time’s up
