Thoughts I had on… ( August,29th,2015) About….(life and history and myself)
Hello everyone. So glad that I had this idea to start this segment that I intend to do every once in a while with you called ” Thought I had on… (the day of the thoughts) About….( what the thoughts are about)” Basically I share with you some things I had been thinking about that day. Sometimes it will come right from my mind to my screen but like today’s post this was actually from August 29th…

The world is gold and On it Our words are enshrined in fading ink And cracked yellow paper. We look at it and smile And say we've left our mark.

Marked
Sometimes it won’t come. Sometimes it’s as easy as sitting down and everything spills out. Sometimes it’s like drawing blood from a dry vein. Searching for it collapses what might’ve been useful, and then it spills, but it spills in the wrong place, and it can’t be used. A bruise of words, clotting up internally, leaving me the only thing marked by something I feel should mark the world.

It's very uncommon for people to have an attitude of "Wow, I don't know." In childhood, researchers call this a "growth mind-set"-this idea that you're uncomfortable with the fact that you just don't know something yet, or that you just can't do something yet. But most people are raised with this feeling that they know everything. But if you know everything, you can't possibly innovate, right? It's impossible, because there is nothing new to learn or discover... ...I think that the ability to see how much more there is to know and be humble about it is actually a good thing. Returning to the mountain metaphor, every mountain climber I know of feels small in the mountains and enjoys the feeling of being small. No matter what you do, the mountain is always bigger than you are.
